"Here. You look like you haven't slept the whole night." Daisy pushes a cup of coffee into my hands while my cheeks heat up at her words.

"Are you sure we can drink coffee inside?" I ask her my eyes flying over to the shop filled with wedding dresses, a dream of white and cream colors.

"No, that's why I bought it. Because you've been avoiding my questions all morning and this means we have to stay outside and you can finally tell me what's going on." She says with a grin on her lips before she takes a sip of her hot coffee.

I curse her in my mind while I shake my head lightly smiling.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I say nonchalantly shrugging my shoulders before I take a sip as well, welcoming the rich, bitter taste of the coffee.

"You're unbelievable. First you saunter off to a date with Ian Williams without telling anyone and then you come back and don't even tell me about it!" She says raising a brow and I smile a bit relieved.

I know she didn't mean what was going on between Tommy and I because she couldn't know.

I slipped out of his bed this morning without anyone noticing and at breakfast we behaved like always. Barely speaking to each other, just a few glances and nobody  suspected anything.

It's weird because it seems like pretending finally got us to get along. Yes I still want to slap him for his snarky remarks or sarcastic comments but now after what happened and is still going to happen, I don't feel the deep rooted anger.

Seems like we got some steam off and now I can't really be that angry at him.
Seems like I solved the problem then.

"It wasn't a date, we just hung out at his apartment."

"And you casually stayed over the night." She grins teasingly and I roll my eyes lightly.

"You have to imagine to be in my shoes. Usually I'm in my own apartment and don't have many people around me and now I'm in a house full of people. Ian is a good friend and I wanted to have some place to breathe." I tell her the truth and she nods.

"It's just your luck that he's this handsome and charming." She jokes again and I nudge her shoulder with mine.

"I'm not interested in Ian, Daisy. I swear I would tell you, if I would be. But he's just family to me like.."

"Like Tommy was?" She asks carefully and I nod smiling a bit.

I always wondered if I stayed so close with Ian because he was the last peace left of something connected to Tommy.
But that's nonsense, I like Ian because of himself. He's just so relaxed and unbothered by everything I like people like that. They make you feel at ease.

"After you two went to the winery, I almost thought that was it. That you were ready to pack your bags and leave. Something happened didn't it? I swear it wasn't my idea to let you go there with him-"

"-what?" I ask confused interrupting her as she looks at me with a worried face.

"I told him no. Repeatedly but he insisted on going with you, he said he wanted to clear things up but when you came back it seemed like it got even worse."

Is she telling me right now that it wasn't her idea in the first place that Tommy and I went to the winery alone?

Tommy wanted to, so he could smooth things over? Something inside of me melts at this proposition while I feel Daisy's curious eyes on me.

"Nothing happened. I would never leave, no matter what happens Daisy. I'm here for you and nobody else." I say smiling lightly and she joins me carefully.
