Run Where You've Never Gone Before

Run where the road leads

with golden fields on either side

that float with shinning dew beads

and breeze in the wind with pride.

Run when the storm won't stop

and the lightning scares your heart

into fragile pieces until you flop

right to the ground, hiding where you think is smart.

Run like smiles all do

when your present them a present or two;

you feel like you can run forever and true

wings float on your back. You fly; you flew.

Run until your legs fail you;

run until you can't catch up anymore;

run until people look so few;

run until you hit the floor.
