Me Poem, You Poem

In your simplicity,

read to the neanderthals

or speak

to the lawyers

taunted by their smarts.

Both will do fine

though.

But you must

spin on the Ferris wheel

or dash up a bitter mountain

or sing to the crows

instead of doves

to the thing

that is compared to

the waves that greet the cliff.

Violent.

Majestic.

Don't be a wall.

See what lies beyond

a sky, any sky

so that you can soar, then fly.

That is beauty.
