There's a house that's
dark and dreary
next to mine. Mother
says no to go to
that house,
but my friends dared
me to.
So I did.
I creeped
and the stairs crack.
I let out a yelp
and the floor lets out a moan.
Then I think I started
to understand the house.
It's hurting and
lonely.
I get it now.
So I went inside braver
than before
where I met an old man
who smiled at me tenderly and grateful.
He told me, "Welcome."
