{CHAPTER 13}

-ADVENTURE IN THE DESERT-

It was morning when Kei woke up to some noises. Last night, they had built a tent in the middle of the desert. The woman groggily sat up and rubbed her eyes. Stepping out of the camp, she suddenly felt a huge breeze of wind hit her face.

Her eyes locked at Vivi, Ace, Chopper, Usopp, and Luffy's figure hiding behind the rocks while looking somewhere, so she turned her head in the same direction. When she narrowed her eyes, she could soon see a huge sand storm coming towards them.

"Wow!" The woman said in mild shock as she just woke up and this caught Vivi's attention.

"Kei-san! Come here fast, a sand storm is going to come!!" She did as Vivi told her and hide along with them.

"Again?! Deserts are nothing but storms!" Luffy whined while looking at the sandstorm slowly approaching them. "Kei, build a big wooden wall to block it!" He ordered .

"How about I build a coffin for you instead." She said flatly, " And I can even make sure it's used properly." A wall so big that it blocks the sandstorm was impossible in her current power level. That too in a desert.

"I forgot to mention it but sandstorms are one of the desert dangers!" Vivi informed.

" Mention these things sooner!!!" Usopp yelled as it was not the first time that she forgot to inform them about dessert dangers.

The strong breeze blew their tents away, causing the other Strawhats that were sleeping inside the tent to be blown away as well . In no time, the sand storm reached them and everyone was soon buried under the sand. Kei removed herself from the same as she stood up. Sand was stuck on every part of her body.

"What the hell was that?!" Zoro said while getting out of the sand.

" Can't people get some rest?!" Sanji said in irritation.

Everyone had started walking through the desert, aiming to go towards Yuba again.

"Hey! Sanji! Let's have lunch!! A Pirate boxed lunch!!" Luffy said excitedly.

"Not yet. Not until Vivi-chan says so." came the blonde cook's reply.

"Come on, Vivi! Let's eat! I'm out of strength!!" Luffy whined to Vivi.

"But we are only one-tenth of the way from Yuba, Luffy-san." she said rather politely.

"You're so dumb, haven't you haven't your of this proverb?
If you are hungry, eat!"

"You liar! Quit making stuff up!" Usopp said while dragging his body with the help of a stick.

"Alright. What do you say, we take a break at the next rocks we find?" Vivi suggested.

" Alright! Rocks! Guys! Let's hurry up to the next rocks! Whoever wins in rock-paper-scissors has to carry everyone's stuff!!" Luffy said excitedly.

"Shouldn't the losers carry stuff?" Sanji inquired in doubt.

Though Luffy didn't really listened to what he said. " Alright here goes!
Rock, Paper, Scissors!!"

And as expected, Luffy wins and he carried everyone's stuff. Except for Kei as she told everyone she will carry her own bag.

"Ahhh!!"  Sanji suddenly shouted while looking at Kei. This caused everyone to look at him in confusion.

"Kei-chan....Kei-chan is.....carrying Chopper in her arms?!!" Sanji said in shock. And he was right, Kei was sitting on her ride made of leaves while carrying Chopper with her. He was sitting on her lap, with her arms around him.
