Chapter 1

Lucas P.O.V

It was a couple of weeks after I turned 12 and we were going into diagon alley with Draco, mum, dad and ,much to my annoyance, Lucius to get our supplies.

We got to the Alley only to find it was packed.

"Why is it so busy?" I asked it was the main wizarding alley but still its more than usual and centered around florish and blotts. My dad spoke up. "I forgot Lockharts book signing is today." He said the name with scorn sneering and rolling his eyes.

"Why don't you two go inside and wait for us while we get the other supplies." Mother suggested, so we nodded and made our way inside and up the stairs to be out of the way watching from above. A little while later while Lockhart was just starting his dumb speech a group of redheads, a brunette and a ravenette walked in.

I nudged Draco and pointed them out. "Lets go say hi."

I said about to make my way down. "Luca Father could be back any minute, we gonna have to be rude if he turns up."

"But-" As I was about to protest I heard Lockharts pompous voice start up.

"'When young Harry here stepped into Flourish and Blotts today, he only wanted to buy my autobiography - which I shall be happy to present him now, free of charge." He paused allowing the crowd of sheep's to applaud. "He had no idea that he would shortly be getting much, much more than my book, Magical Me. He and his schoolfellows will, in fact, be getting the real, magical me. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have great pleasure and pride in announcing that, this September, I will be taking up the post of Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts school."

What? We have to have that fraud teaching us oh my merlin. Harry looked very uncomfortable at the attention. As the group walked to the front of the shop ,presumably to leave we spotted our parents as we went down we saw Lucius walk in so Draco knew he had to insult them as I tried to apologize with my eyes.

"Bet you loved that didn't you famous Harry Pottah can't even walk into a bookshop without making the front page."

"Leave him alone." Ginny stepped forward glaring at both of us. "Oh look you got yourself a girlfriend." As he said that Lucius decided to make his precense known slapping his cane on my shoulder causing me to jump and moving us aside. "Now, now Draco play nicely."

He turned to the weasleys looking Directly at Harry.

"Mr Potter," He offered hand to him. "Lucius Malfoy forgive me but..." and with that he gave a yank to Harrys wrist pulling him closer to examine his scar.

"Your scar is legend as is, of course the wizard who gave it to you." At that Harrys gaze grew steely.

"Voldemort killed my parents he's nothing but a murderer." Harry stood firm as he got a sneer sent his way. "You must be very brave to speak his name...or very foolish."

"Fear of the name only increases the fear of the thing itself." Hermione piped up from next to us. His eyes snapped to her. "And you must be Miss Granger, oh yes Dracos told me all about you. A mudblood correct?" Hermione just nodded proudly though I saw tears in her eyes, as I winced at the slur.

"Lets see ,Red hair, vacant expressions, tatty second hand books." Whilst saying that he pickked up one of Ginnys book out of her cauldren. "You must be the Weasleys."

Arthur appraoched the others and quickly said.

"Children! Lets go outside its rammed in here."

"Well well well Weasley senior."

Arthur bristled slightly. "Lucius."

"Busy time at the ministry with those extra raids I do hope they are paying you overtime though judging by the state of this I say probably not." Lucius replied Holding up the book. "What use are you being a disgrace of a wizard if the don't even pay you well for it."

I was shaking with the urge to step in the Weasleys had accepted us into their home and family last year and I can't stand the badmouthing but I refrained.

"We have a very different opinion on what is a disgrace of a wizard Malfoy."

Clearly. Acossiating with Muggles." He sneered as he threw the book back in the cauldren.

"Hmph Lets go Draco." Draco walked after in after saying. "See you in school." I just waved joining my dad.
