Chapter 12

Lucas P.O.V

"All students return to your dormitary immeadiatly! All teachers to the second floor corridor!"

Rang through the corridor me and Draco we talking (read lurking) in. As footsteps seemed to be approaching us I pulled Draco into an alclove where it just so happened that Ron and Harry where also hiding. I put a finger to my lips a pleading look on my face and they nodded, relieved I turned my attention to eavedropping on what seemed to be worrying the teachers.

"As you can see the heir of slytherin has left another message. Our worst fear has been realised a student has been taken by the monster into the chamber itself." Mcgonagoll said sounding on the verge of tears.

I peeked round the corner seeing a chilling message.

'Her skeleton will lie in the chamber forever' I had to stifle a gasp.

"The students must be sent home Im afriad this is the end of hogwarts." Harry went white at that comment.

Out of nowhere Gilderoy Lockhart came down the corridor. "So sorry what did I miss?"

"A girl has been snatched by the monster Lockhart your moment has come at last." My father said to the peacock of a man.

"My m-moment? "

"Weren't you saying just last night that you know where the entrance to the chamber has been all along."

"Then its settled Gilderoy you will fight the monster, your skills afterall are legendary." I grew respect for the tranfiguration proffesor in that moment even in sucha dire situation.

"Very well I'll just be in my office getting uh geting ready." At that he turned tail and fled down the corridor.

"Who is it that the monster has taken minerva?" Pomfrey asked. "Ginny Weasley."

I snapped my head to Ron wide eyes as he looked completely heart broken. As the teachers dispersed he finally spoke.

"We can't leave that hack to save my sister we must do something." Ron pleaded. I was about to agree when Draco gave me a look. I slapped him rather roughly and said "We can help. We know what is down there a basalisk a dark creature so darker curses that we know could help or distractions." Ron looked at us.

"Why help us we've been horrible to you this year no apology can make up for the way we treated you and-." I cut him off.

"Look I understand how it looked so I guess I forgive you but next time, merlin forbid anything like this happens again, talk to me before making your mind up." He nods quickly.

We made our way to Lockharts office only to see him packing, wands out we surround him. "Are you going somewhere?" I hiss menacingly.

"Uhh yes a previous arrangement uh have to go." Lockhart said. "What about my sister?!" Ron yelled outraged.

"Oh yes tragic business afraid I cant help." I grew angry he wasn't even going to try. "You're just a useless fraud I bet you didn't do anything that those books said!"

"Well of course I didn't but everyone in the wizarding world believed I did, so I kept making money." I growled and hit him with a spell. "Incarcerous." Making magical robes bind him. "You are coming down the chamber with us."

We led him to Moaning Myrtles bathroom. "Hey Myrtle." Me and Draco called upon entering. "Hi Harry." She said completly ignoring us.

"Oh uh Hi Myrtle do you mind if we go down to the chamber?" Harry asked awkardly rubbing his neck.

"Of course you can oh and Harry if you die down there you are welcome to share my toilet."

"Uh thanks myrtle I'll keep that in mind." He looked very uncomfortable and I smirked. Walking up to the sink Harry started hissing and the opening was revealed.

"So should we jump?" I said looking into the dark abyss. "Maybe we should push someone." Draco said looking maliciously to lockhart. I smirked.

"I like the way you think." I said before we both gave him a (probably harder than necessary) shove.

"WOAHHH." Was heard followed by a crack. "You reckon he's dead?" Ron asked not looking at all concerned for him. "I'm okay ,I'm okay." I pouted.

"Apparently not what a pity." I replied before jumping down followed closely by the others.
