Chapter 11

Lucas P.O.V

Everyone was coming back today and I was wearing my necklace excitment thrumming through my veins making me jittery. "Luca calm down." Draco all but growled at me as we walked to Lunch as everyone would be arriving soon. "I can't Draco I'm excited." He smiled. "I know." He took my hand "come on they're almost here."

The doors opened and two redheads were by my side instantly.

"You actually/ wore it!" They exclaimed.

"Yeah of course I did. Did you think I wouldnt?"

They blushed "We weren't sure...Your dad is scary." I giggled. "Thank you by the way its beautiful." I smiled at them lightly holding it. "Not as beautiful as you." They said before kissing a cheek each and running off looking worried. I turned seeing Draco with a murderous expression twirling his wand which I promtly plucked from his hand and tucked it into my robes.

"Hey give me my wand."

"Nope until you can promise me TRUTHFULLY that you wont use it on my boyfriends you aren't getting it back." "But Luca..." he whined following me out unaware of the carnage that followed our little 'scene'.

XX later that month XX

I was in the library looking through books for an history essay on the founders, I managed to find a good amount on every founder but Salazar so in was going through some books about hogwarts legends when I came across the legend of the chamber.

The story went that salazar had a creature to protect the students though some believe it was more likely because he hated muggleborns. No-one really knows the truth except from the founders themselves.

I was writing this down when a thought came to me. "Salazar had the abilty to speak to snakes so the monster must be a snake of some kind so his heir would be able to talk to it."

Then I went through a book on magical snakes but none had the power to petify until... "a Basalisk? A basalisks stare canbbe fatal to anyone who looks in its eyes but the reflection will only petrefy the victim." I urmered as I read outloud.

"Luca what are you doing?" Katie came up behind me causing me to jump. "Katie help me out here?" The young werewolf looked confused but sat next to me anyway. "What is it?"

"Well I was working on our history essay when I started writing stuff about the chamber that salazar made." She nodded.

"The one thta holds the monster?" I nodded and explained that the monster must have been a snake because he was a parselmouth, and showed her the book. "So you think it a basalisk?"

"Possibly because the night it happened to mrs Norris there was water on the floor so she possibly saw it through the reflection, Nicks a ghost and couldn't die again and Justin saw the eyes through nick meaning he wasn't looking directly. And Creevey it must have been his camera hes always looking through it! "

"Luca you coud be right but ,I can't believe I'm saying this, wait if you are wrong and people believe you it could look pretty suspicous like putting off the scent wait if theres another attack and I hope to Merlin no-one dies then we tell someone okay?" Katie ,always the voice of reason spoke up.

"Okay I hope I'm right because I have no other ideas. But just in case." I ripped that page out of the book ignoring the ravenclaws look of 'wtf' and quickly put in in one of the books Hermione had been using, quite a few tables away from me ,while she had gone to get another book. She may hate me but I wouldnt wish that on anyone and quickly I left with katie quietly ranting to me about disrespecting books.

XX about a month laterXX

(Harry has the diary now)

Draco came running up to me closely followed by Katie and Luna just as I was on my way to the common room before curfew

"Luca! Hermione was attacked!" Katie called. "What, When!?" I was shocked. "I just found out Harry and Ron told me. But te thing is she was holding a mirror." I looked at her wide eyed. "Reflection!"

"It looks like you were right.So we need to tell-"

"Mx Snape, Mr Malfoy, Miss Knight and Miss Lovegood get to your commons rooms now its almost curfew."

Mcgonagoll called to us.

"Tomorrow." I assured and they all nodded.

Third Person P.O.V

Little did the others know but that night Harry and Ron visited Hargrid as Harry had spoke to Tom Ridlle thrugh the diary. While they were having tea, the minister took Hagrid to askaban so the ministry could be seen 'doing something' and because of what happened last time. Dumbedore got suspended by Lucius Malfoy. Hargrid left the two griffindor boys (unknown to the others) with the advice of 'follow the spiders'. And despite Rons crippling fear they did.

They met Aragog and learnt about the girl who had died 50 years before and that hagrid had been framed.

They tried to leave but Aragog attempted to eat them. After a Lucky ascape thanks to the ford anglia they waited to visit hermione in the morning. Harry who held her hand felt a piece of paper crumpled he tookit out and read it. It was the page that Luca had planted and it had one word scrawled on it 'Pipes'. Harry and Ron decided thats how the snake was getting around but something terrible happened before they could tell anyone.
