Chapter 8

XXTime skip to just before ChristmasXX

"You two staying at hogwarts this year?" Pheonix asked me and Draco as we sat in the library just before break.

"Yeah I don't really want to go to the manor and well Dad is staying here." I answered Draco nodding in agreement.

"The others are staying as well." Luna reminded us.

"No big deal we'll be spending most of our time with dad anyway."I said shrugging. "Or in the common room considering medea is still in disgrace with uncle sev after she managed to get into his warded lab." Draco commented making me giggle at the memory.

"We are going to stay with Luna so we should probably get packing for tomorrow we'll see you later." Pheonix said bounding off Katie on his heels.

Time skip.

"Luca did you hear?!" Draco called running up to me It was 7 days before yule and I was playing with medea In the common room after getting all the presents wrapped. "Theres been another attack!"

My eyes widened. "Who?" I demanded. Draco shook his head. "Its odd it was a hufflepuff boy and nearly headless nick."

I was shocked. "But hes a ghost."

"I know. You think Harry was blamed he was at the scene first."

I shook my head. "No way dumbledore would blame Harry its impossible." I bit my lip. "Draco this is getting scary." Draco took my hand. "It'll be alright don't worry."

The next week passed so fast and it was already christmas eve which we were spending with dad in his quarters he had a room for me and Draco similar to the one at the manor.

"Im so excited I wont be able to sleep." Draco announced bouncing slightly on his bed. "You say that every year Draco and you're always asleep by 9."

"Thats a bold faced lie." Draco said jumping onto my bed and mock wrestling with me. I shook my head and started tussleing with him.

"Children!" Dad walked in seeing us on the ground at this point. I took Dracos lapse in concentration to flip us and pin him down. "Ha I win." My delecration caused him to struggle for a minute before saying. "Fine, fine you win."

"Ha weakling." I teased jumping off him. "Did you need something dad?" I asked looking to my father now.

"I was coming to say goodnight, come on now into bed you two I'll see you in the morning." Dad ushered into bed and tucked us both up with a hug. "Goodnight!" We called as Dad turned the lights out.

I fell asleep just as quickly as Draco looking forward tomorrow.
