In the morning I saw Ron and Harry in the hall and quickly ran over to them. "Hey where have you guys been?" They both exchanged a sheepish look.

"The barrier closed so we went back to my dads car.." Ron trailed off. I gaped at him. "Tell me you didn't."

Draco said clearly coming to the same conclusion as I did. "They did." Hermione confirmed coming up behind the two. "They now have detention though apparently Professor Snape wanted them expelled." I ignored the comment about my dad and dragged the group to breakfast.

The post came and as usual me and Draco didn't get anything but there was a sudden shout from the Gryffindor table. "Weasley's got himself a howler!"

Draco raised his head up and we both exchanged looks of 'oh shit'.

"RONALD WEASLEY! HOW DARE YOU STEAL THAT CAR! I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! YOUR FATHER'S NOW FACING AN INQUIRY AT WORK AND IT'S ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT! IF YOU PUT ANOTHER TOE OUT OF LINE WE'LL BRING YOU STRAIGHT HOME! - Oh, and Ginny dear, congratulations on making Griffindor. Your father and I are so proud."

Both Ron and Ginnys faces were matching their hair at this point .When we joined them after breakfast I slung my arm a round Rons shoulder and laughed. "Well that was embarrassing." I smiled at him to show I was only joking. "Tell me about it." He mumbled morosely.

"Oh we have defense first with Professor Lockhart." Hermione said excited as a couple of the girls sighed while the boys and myself all wrinkled our noses in disgust. "Hes so pretentious how can you like him your supposed to be smart." I said looking at Hermione.

"How can you say that Luca he's amazing?" Hermione asked as we entered the classroom.

"Hes self-centered thats what he is"

As we sat down chattering the office door opened and the blonde twit walked out. "Let me introduce you to your new defense against the dark arts teacher... Me." He said with a 'I love myself' smile on his face.

"Gilderoy Lockhart , order of merlin third class , honorary member of the dark force defense league and five times winner of witch weekly's most charming smile award. But I don't talk about that." I rolled my eyes seeing how taken in most of the girls were by him.

"Oh yes clearly he doesn't talk about it." I muttered to Draco sarcastically making him snicker.

"Now I thought I'd start this class by giving you all a little quiz." He passed us all papers as I looked at the quiz I grew quickly disgusted.

"All the questions are about him this is ridiculous." I also heard Ron and Harry muttering about how ridiculous the questions were.

"You have thirty minutes start now"

I have to say this was the only test that I did that I got a T at which is a shame because I can usually manage at least an A in DADA despite it being my worst class.

Lockhart was looking through our papers and started talking.

"Tut tut hardly any of you remembered my favorite color is Lilac," He stopped for a second. "However Miss Granger remembered that my secret ambition is to rid the world of all evil and to market my own range of hair care products, good girl."

I had to stop myself from gagging and grabbed the back of Phoenixes collar as he looked like he was about to pummel the man which is unusual for the usually pacifist hufflepuff.

"Now I have to warn you you might end p facing your worst fears in this room but do not worry no harm can befall you whilst I am here."

He approached a covered cage and got ready to pull off the cover. "I must warn you not to scream it might provoke them." I dread to think what is n that cage hopefully nothing to dangerous or we could be maimed. He pulled the cover to reveal... "Cornish pixies their not dangerous!" Audrey brought up.

Before lockhart could reply Katie spoke up. "Not dangerous no but quite mischievous and annoying."

"Quite right miss knight I'm going to let the out to prove how mischievous these little demons can be." And with that he opened the door.

"Oh no." Draco muttered.
