LONG CHAPTER INCOMING ;)
–TWENTY MINUTES.
It wasn't long, but it was enough to find whoever the hell we needed to break out. Din and I stayed side by side, his gloved hand holding mine as we turned down different halls and went past different jail cells.
I raced ahead when I sensed a security droid up ahead, igniting my sabers and slicing it in half. I used the Force to throw its body at another one coming and the two exploded, the group looking at me in awe and Xi'an cackling excitedly. I stood back as the group ran past me, Mayfeld nodding and winking me way.
Of course, now that he knows who I am, he's playing the nice guy card, but even then I felt something was off. The group started to get a bit too reckless and the stares I was receiving from them unsettled me. They were up to something, and I wasn't wanting to stick around to find out.
I pulled Din aside, eyes gazing at him as he stared back. His muscles were tense under my grip but I could sense his full attention on me.
"They're up to something." I muttered as we started to speed walk to stay with them.
"I know. Stay alert."
We both caught up to Mayfeld and the others, the man putting a device in the lock while we all stood guard. Xi'an grinned with her teeth, licking her canines and lips as he looked me up and down. I gave a dark look before turning my attention to the opening cell door. I gripped my lightsabers tightly as I looked inside the cell, seeing a male twi'lek sitting on the small cot in there.
Din walked forward, a small agitated sigh coming from him as he stared down the other man.
"Qin."
I glanced to him in confusion, wondering how he knew him too.
"Funny, the man who left me being is now my savior." Qin said as he walked out and stood in front of me. "Mando."
I ignited my lightsaber right as Xi'an threw one of her knives at me. Burg had hit Din into Qin's cell before sending me in too, Mayfeld closing the door. I ran up to the door, sticking my arm out to retrieve my lightsabers, but Xi'an had already taken them and clipped them on her belt.
"Give them back, you tendril-headed bitch!"
"Go back to your dog, you whore!"
I watched the group run down the hall to get to the Crest, an agitated sigh coming from me as I leaned my head against the cell door and turned to look at Din. He walked toward me, gently placing his hands on my shoulders.
"Still think this was a good idea?" I muttered as I leaned my head against his chest.
"You still up for Plan B?" He asked as he moved his hands to my hips, giving a small squeeze. My cheeks burned with heat at the gesture but I covered up my flustered state with a grin.
"If that means I get to punch Mayfeld, then please initiate that plan." I said with a grin and reached up to move his helmet up just enough so I could kiss him. He pulled me closer for a moment before I pulled away and turned my head to the door. He glanced down to me in confusion and I could hear a small whine come from him when I stopped.
"Patrol droid incoming on the right." I whispered to him and he nodded. I put his helmet back on, smacking it down on his head in a playful manner and earning a couple grumblings from him. I grinned smugly before turning my attention to the door, eyeing the droid walking by. I reached my hand out of the cell, using the Force to bring it toward me and Din used his grappling wire to bang it against the cell door.
