--"I'M GOING TO DO ANOTHER PERIMETER CHECK. I'LL BE BACK."

I stood up from my spot beside Din and ignited one of my lightsabers so I could see. I walked a few meters out and looked along the dimly illuminated lava flats. Being back on Nevarro made me feel sick to my stomach, and the feeling that the Force gave made me feel like I was going to throw up.

Everything about this plan felt like a ruse. Greef was up to something. I know he his. I could feel it.

"You haven't told the Rebel, have you?"

I spun around to face Greef, lowering my saber to my side as I looked back among the lava flats.

"After all, you are responsible for killing her entire planet."

"What do you want, Greef?" I sighed in annoyance and adjusted my cloak.

He shrugged, raising his hands to show he didn't mean to offend me. We stood in silence, our gazes set on the darkness ahead.

"I don't want anything. I just want to know how you managed to go so many years without being detected by the Empire and the New Republic."

"It's called not being problematic."

I glanced to him, the older man chuckling at my response before yawning.

"In all seriousness, how did you and Mando become so close? He's like a...He's like a wall: silent and not forthcoming."

I shrugged in response, not really knowing how we did become how we are. One moment we're at each other's throats and threatening to kill one another, the next we're saving our asses and taking care of the kid. As for what happened the other night...Well, that was when I knew that our feelings were real.

Of course, I wasn't going to tell Greef what happened between us that night or any previous night. It was irrelevant and none of his business.

"To be completely honest with you, I still have no idea how we became like we are. I guess after a few near death experiences, it really changed us."

It wasn't the complete truth, but I didn't have to tell Greef everything. After all, he did try to kill me the last time I saw him.

"Does he know everything you've done?"

"He knows some and knows what I'm capable of. And before you answer, he also told me what he's done in the past."

"But does he really know you? From what I see, Master Skywalker, you're still attached to the darkness inside you."

I whipped around to face him, sheathing my lightsaber and grabbing his shirt. I got in his face, seething with anger.

"You know nothing about me! So what if I still use it?! It's doing me more good than harm and helping your sorry ass!"

I let go of him and walked away, mumbling and resisting the urge to kill something.

But when I heard Greef shout for me, I felt a pair of large claws grabbed me by the front.

I let out a startled scream before using the Force to send my lightsaber up into the creature's body, the thing coming back down to the ground and letting go of me. I rolled out of my fall and ran back to the campsite, using my lightsaber to cut down the monsters attacking. I stood beside Din and Cara, guarding the Child's pod and protecting the two beside me.

The monsters swooped down and grabbed two of Greef's bounty hunters then tried to take off with the blurrgs. I ran forward, plunging one of my lightsabers into the body of one of the winged creatures then jumping up in the air and be heading another.

The creatures flew away defeated, but Greef's pained groans brought all of our eyes to him. I rushed over to him to help Cara bandage and check to see if it wasn't serious, but judging by how the flesh on his arm literally simmered, he was definitely poisoned.

"I need another med pack!" Cara announced and looked around her for. She looked up at Greef's bounty hunters, the two shaking their heads.

"I could try something?" I spoke up, everyone looking to me.

"Like what? Killing me off?" Greef snapped at me.

I rolled my eyes and knelt down, gazing at the nasty cuts and the black venom that mixed with the blood. I noticed the child approach from the left of me and he cooed, outstretching his hand and placing it on Greef's arm.

"It's trying to eat me!"

"Shut up or I'll let him!"

All of us watched as the kid closed his eyes and used the Force to heal him. Everyone was shocked and had no idea what he did, but what surprised me the most was how powerful he was.

The Empire would've made him unstoppable...

I shook my head of those thoughts as I stood up and walked away. Din glanced to me as I moved away from the group but didn't follow me. Instead, he stayed with the child and made sure Greef was okay.

I decided to take the first watch tonight. My thoughts were too intrusive and voices filled my head as I felt the strength of the Force around the Child. It was almost like the Force awakened when he drew life from it and into Greef's injury to heal it.

I ignited one of my lightsabers, staring into the red, flickering blade as the voice became louder.

You could train him...make him more powerful than you ever were....

"Shut up...You're not here anymore...." I muttered to myself as I closed my eyes. Sidious's laugh echoed in my head as I tried blocking it out, not wanting anything to do with the Dark.

The voices reduced to whispers and I was left alone with my thoughts.

The thoughts of Darth Axcia, and the thoughts of myself, Asa Skywalker.
