A few weeks later...
December 10th
"Shit they ain't have these kinds of parks in my day. America has got a lot of explaining to do cause wow." I chuckled, looking around the park.

Today I was off from work and Luca happened to be over at my place. Coincidentally, at the same time I had the kids. So we decided to take them to the park on this cold, but sunny Saturday.

Sometimes he would drop them off and go back home. But sometimes he'd stay the night and we'd do something with the kids the next day. I loved the way we did things now. I felt like it worked better than before.

"Hell yeah. I'm grown as hell and I want to play in them luh jungle gyms they got." He laughed.

I laughed with him. "I have an idea and it might sound crazy. I say we come here in the middle of the night while no one's here and play like we're kids again."

He looked at me like I was crazy. "What? Since when do you have them childish ass ideas?" He scoffed. "Usually I'm the one proposing shit like that."

"Since I got back with- since I started hanging out with you." I answered, correcting myself. Now I was embarrassed and he could tell I was nervous.

He smirked, taking advantage of the situation. "Since you got back with me, huh?"

"NO...I didn't mean to say that." I smiled, trying not to laugh.

"So we together? So you my shawtyyyyyy? My girlllll?" He questioned, obnoxiously leaning into me.

I rolled my eyes. "What did I say?"

He took a deep breath. "You right. Let me chill."

I nodded my head. "Mmhm."

I told him that I think we should keep a platonic relationship for the kids. But I did say it could consist of sleeping in the same bed, cuddling ONLY TIME TO TIME, and you know...a lil sex here and there. And you best belief, that man was blowing my back out every other night. Especially when Milo was taking care of the kids. It was a relationship without the relationship part. If that made sense.

"But I do like the idea of us coming out here to spend some time together. I wouldn't mind it as long as you were cool with it." He shrugged.

"Of course I'm cool with it." I smiled, taking his hand for warmth.

Laying my head on his shoulder, we watched as the kids played in the park. Making new friends and forming a group for little games to play. It was so cute and it reminded me of my childhood all over again. Them lil days in 2005 when I would scrape my knees, dust myself off and go back to playing tag with the other lil kids on the playground. Good days.

"You could time travel and see that if you want." Luca mentioned, sliding down in his spot on the  bench.

"Reading my mind again?" I laughed. At this point I didn't care. I was just gonna have to get used to it again.

"My bad." He apologized.

I waved him off. "No it's okay. I was thinking we could do that again for my birthday. Or you know some other time."

"Your birthday?" He questioned as if he'd forgotten about it.

I gave him a death stare. "...Luca."

"I'm fucking playing with you, alien head. I know your birthday is May 5th." He laughed.

I hit him in the shoulder so hard. "Nigga that's yo birthday!"

"I'm playing you crack fiend. December 19th, 1999. You born at 12:06am and your head was even bigger when you came out ya mama's coochie. Almost killed the poor lady." He snickered.
