For two whole months they spent their time fighting against creatures, broke into castles to steal everything they could find and brought it to their place where they lived which they by now called home - even though it didn't feel like it. Mostly Scarlet and Hether were the ones who worked on finding the creatures' headquarters, so the place where brainwashed people such as Barthen controlled everything which happened in the world. Meanwhile, Crimson and Sheila used most of their time by sharing information about the Cult - which basically meant that Sheila was the one who told Crimson everything and he asked her tons of questions. For instance, he was still interested in how the knife shooting creatures got their weapons always out of their bodies somehow, but never ran out of it. He had never talked about that with Sheila the first month they had met. The dozens of dozens of knives coming out of the chests of their enemies reminded Crimson of the only movie he had once seen where someone had shot lots of munition out of a gun without even recharging it.

Sheila's answer was quite simple, but scary at the same time. She said: "Everything happening here works with different laws of physics than on earth. You can call it magic although the creatures would for sure disagree with that because in their mind it's something normal."

"The creatures also can shoot knives out of their chests on earth," Crimson stated, showing Sheila that he still didn't quite understand. "How is it possible that they can use their magic on our home planet?"

"It's exactly working like with the things we can do here: We can breathe just like on earth, we can talk to each other in a language we both understand," Sheila explained. "The creatures, on the other hand, can do what they can do in the Kathrenian universe and go to earth while not losing their abilities. That's all there is to it, I guess." The girl thought for a moment. "Alright, that's not everything: You probably have already found some weapons in the open castles we've already been to. Before we met, in one of them I found this." They were sitting on one of the beds in the room and Sheila grabbed a short stick with her hand... It seemed to be nothing more than wood, but Crimson had already seen how Sheila had used the weapon a couple of times - he just always had missed the moment so far when it had transformed into a bow and arrow.

Now he had the chance to see it - now that no creature tried to kill them.

It was easier than Crimson had thought although he knew there was something magical behind it; Sheila took the stick in her right hand in a gesture as if she wanted to take something from another person. The gesture reminded Crimson of one of the beggars he'd seen out on the street only half a year ago - someone who held his hand up for passersby to throw money into it. What Sheila did next was to take one part of the stick with her other hand, lifted it up and flipped it on the other side so that the stick became twice as thin, but twice as long as well. Then she took the two end pieces of the wood and bent it until it turned into a bow.

"It works similar with the quiver and the arrows. I get as many of them as I want to, so I don't have to worry about ever running out of them," Sheila finished demonstrating her weapon to her companion. "You'll find your own individual gadget, too, I'm sure. You haven't found it yet, have you?"

She looked at Crimson who shook his head. "If I had, I would have told you. We've been through enough adventures already, meaning I trust you enough to tell you more or less anything, I guess."

"I'll take that as a compliment," Sheila said.

She smiled in her typical way again and Crimson still was annoyed by it which was why he started to look away to one of the windows in their rectangular room. "I sure hope to find a weapon soon that's made for me, just like your bow is made for you."

Those words ended the topic and only a bit later Scarlet and Hether came back. Their faces were soaked with blood, but both of their faces - especially Hether's - revealed expressions of triumph.
