CLARKE
I woke up with an unbearable headache. I opened my eyes slowly and blinked several times before I realized I had no idea where I was.
I took a look around and I noticed it was like a cave. The walls were made of stone and there were like little figures drawn all over them, also there were some of them on the roof. I couldn't see clearly because there wasn't too much light, besides the ray of sun that was coming through a little hole in the wall, but I noticed the drawings looked familiar. They consisted of little people kneeling next to what looked like a river. I had seen that before, I thought, Where?
Maybe that would help me find out where the hell I was.
I was laying on a bunch on leaves which were keeping my body from making contact with the bare, cold ground. I took a look at myself. I wasn't wearing my clothes. I was now dressed up with a brown piece of fabric which was covering my body from down my neck to my knees, all sewed up at the back making it look like a dress.
After a moment I tried to stand up and felt an intense pain all over my wounded leg. I cried at the overwhelming aching but I immediately bit my mouth so I wouldn't make too much noise. The shortness of the dress allowed me to take a look at the wound which was all clean and well treated, it was only a short red line just below my knee where the lance went trough but I thought maybe the muscle was still pretty damaged because the pain was torturing.
I couldn't stand up or walk with my leg hurting like that and my head was pounding as if it was going to explode. Just before I started dragging myself across the floor I heard footsteps.
"We should enter and check she's fine", I heard a boy saying.
"You know you can't enter without Amira's permission, Damian", another male voice replied. I heard their footsteps getting louder so I assumed they were about to enter the cave.
"I don't care what my sister says, Roen. I'm the best healer here. I need to check on her, do you want the goddess death before the ceremony?", the other man replied.
Goddess? Was he referring to me?
I tried to stand up as they both appeared right in front of me.
One of them had the most weird eyes I'd ever seen; one of them was completely blue, a light beautiful shade of the color and the other was brown a little blueish on the extremes. He was wearing a brown piece of fabric as well, but his was only covering half of his body, from his hips to his ankles all sewed up like a pair of pants, his white skined chest was uncovered and he was dark brown haired.
The other boy was totally blue-eyed, his hair was a little lighter than the other one, almost blond, he also had white skin and he seemed a little youger. They both stared at me as I tried to stand up.
"Oh no no no, don't move. Your leg is hurt", the first boy warned me, kneeling next to me, grabbing my leg with both of his hands, "you can't move your leg until the muscle is fully healed, okay?", his eyes were now looking deeply into mine.
At the moment he kneeled beside me I noticed the knife, my knife, in its sheath on his leg, so quickly I moved and took it from him also grabbing his hair and putting him closer to me placing the knife on his throat as pulling harder at his hair so he couldn't move.
"Who are you people?", I asked the other boy who was now looking at me in horror. He put his hands up defensively and took a few steps at our direction, slowly.
"Whoa- calm down", he said with his hands in the air, "let him go", he demanded getting closer to us.
"You don't get to tell me what to do", I stuck the knife on the boy's throat cutting a little bit, and as he let out a little moan he said "Roen, go get Amira". I pulled harder at his hair making him quiet.
"Shut up!, Who's Amira? Why are you keeping me here?", I asked the blond boy angrily, "let me go, and I won't kill your friend ".
"Listen, we'll explain you everything, just-", he sighed, "let him go".
I hesitated for a moment and just when I was about to cut the boy's throat a little bit deeper he grabbed my hand and made the knife fly through the air and hit on the wall, he grabbed my other hand which wasn't longer pulling at his hair and put both of them together, facing me and stoping me from moving.
"Let me go!", I demanded struggling to free my hands. Rage burning in my eyes.
The boy laughed, "You're pretty ungrateful to the one who fixed your leg", he kept smiling, "go find my sister", he said looking at the other boy while he nodded and ran out the cave.
I stared at him in confusion. "The last thing I remember was someone of your people kicking my head and throwing a lance at my leg", I told him sharply.
He gave me another smile.
"That was one of the girls, Johanne. Sorry about that, she can't recognize her goddess when she sees it", he gave me a playful look,
Again with the goddess thing?
"Goddess? What are you talking about?", I looked at him like he was crazy. I kept struggling to free my hands from his.
The boy laughed, "My sister will explain you everything, tough I don't believe a word she says about the whole gods thing", he said rolling his eyes,"I'm Damian by the way", he said with the hugest smile.
I was about to tell him my name when he grabbed both of my hands with only one of his and placed a finger from his free hand on my lips.
"Now, I'm going to free you hands", he said peacefully as I struggled harder, "but you need to promise you won't try to cut my head off", he smiled.
What's wrong with this guy smiling all the time?
I hesitated and looked at him doubtfully. I rolled my eyes and sighed trying not to snap something back at him.
"Fine"
A smirk took place on his lips as he slowly put his hands down and let my own free. Just before I moved away from him a new voice came in.
"What's going on in here?", an older female entered the cave along with the other boy who was here earlier. The woman had long black hair falling down her back and she had the most beautiful pale skin I've ever seen. Her eyes where light blue and she was wearing the same as I was.
She looked right into my eyes and just before I could speak she kneeled in front me, leaning so her face was touching the ground. She was murmuring something I was trying my best to understand.
"Aliagna osteros, rashimi khors, phestura deleigh maist noh", was all the woman was whispering against the floor.
Neither of the boys moved. They just kept starring at the woman with an awkward look.
I looked at Damian with confusion and he must've read my mind because he noticed I had no idea what was happening.
He kneeled down next to me and whispered in my ear,
"May the river gods, purify my soul"
I looked at him in horror and confusion. I didn't know who those people were, I didn't know what they wanted from me, but I did know something.
The woman on the floor was worshiping. She was worshiping me.
