Chapter 2 - Released

8 YEARS LATER

Jesse Waldock: "Rock is 27, Uno is 26, Jyugo and Nico are 24, and Jinx is 15."

Jyugo: "You know, Jinx. You haven't escaped with us in a while."

Rock: "Yeah, whenever we break out, you say you're just gonna stay in here."

Nico: "You've been strangely obedient lately."

Uno: "If you're not careful, you're gonna get released."

I simply smiled.

Jinx: "Relax, big brothers. We've been here together for eight years. I'm not gonna leave you after all this time."

I mumbled to myself.

Jinx: "Not for long, anyway..."

Uno: "What was that?"

Jinx: "N-nothing."

Suddenly, Hajime opens our cell and held out handcuffs.

Hajime: "Number 33."

We all stood up.

Hajime: "Come on. It's your release day."

The Boys: "WHAAAAT?!?!"

I held out my hands.

Jinx: "I'm ready."

He put me in the cuffs.

Hajime: "Thank god these finally fit."

My brothers all grabbed me and pull me back. Jyugo took my cuffs off and threw them back at Hajime. They yelled desperately while shielding me.

Uno: "No way, man! Back off! She belongs here with us!"

Rock: "We're her brothers! We take care of her!"

Nico: "Please don't take her away, Hajime!"

Jyugo: "She's just a kid! And she doesn't have anything out there!"

They all had tears filling their eyes.

Hajime: "Step aside, you pains in my ass!"

They guarded me from him.

The Boys: "NO!"

Jinx: "Hajime... I got this."

I took a deep breath and spoke calmy.

Jinx: "Big brothers... look at me."

They slowly turned to me. Tears slipping down their faces.

Jinx: "Let me go."

Jyugo: "But-! But-!"

Uno: "We can't..."

Rock: "We'll never see you again."

Nico: "Please don't leave us."

I wrapped my arms around them and whispered so only the four of them could hear.

Jinx: "I'll be back... trust me..."

They were quite stunned with what I said. I let them go and went past them to Hajime, letting him cuff my hands. Before I left, I smiled back at them, fighting my own tears.

Jinx: "I love you guys... See you soon."

Hajime lead me out.
