Chapter 16 - Family

He took me to the same arena we had new year's tournaments in and brought me into the front row seats of the stands.

Mitsuru: "Alright, 33. You stay here. Crouch down behind the wall. Make sure no one sees you. But keep an ear out for my signal. Then, come down those stairs to me."

Jinx: "Got it. Hey, Mitsuru. Thanks for doing this."

Mitsuru: "Of course. This is a special occasion after all."

He went down into the arena. It wasn't long before the supervisors arrived with everyone. I took a brief peek over the wall. I was so happy to see everyone after all this time. I then ducked down and kept my ears open.

Mitsuru: "Thanks for coming everyone!"

Upa: "Not like we had a choice."

Honey: "Why are we here?"

Tsukumo: "And why just us?"

Musashi: "I'm confused."

Mitsuru: "I'm sure you're all wondering why you're here!"

Jyugo: "What was your first clue?"

Mitsuru: "Well, it's a surprise. If you would all be so kind as to turn around and face that way."

They turned their backs to him.

Qi: "A surprise? What kind of surprise?"

Uno: "It's obviously something that involves all of us."

Liang: "What do we all have in common?"

Nico: "We're all inmates."

Rock: "Well, no duh."

I giggled.

Mitsuru: "No peeking!"

I heard Mitsuru whisper.

Mitsuru: "Come on down."

I stood up and ran down the steps and stood next to him.

Mitsuru: "You ready?"

I smiled and nodded.

Mitsuru: "Alright, everyone! You can turn back around now!"

They all turned back. The second they saw me, their eyes widened.

Tsukumo: "No way."

Musashi: "What is it?"

Liang: "It's Jinx."

Honey: "She's back."

Jinx: "Hey idiots, don't just stand there!"

I held out my arms. Mitsuru stood back, knowing I'd get stampeded. And he was right. They all ran forwards, my brothers first, who tackle hugged me to the ground. We were all crying, but we were also smiling.

Uno: "Jinx, you're back!"

Nico: "We missed you!"

Rock: "We didn't know what to do without you."

Jyugo: "Don't ever leave us again... promise us."

Jinx: "Haha, I promise. I love you, big brothers."

We all stood up.

Honey: "Jinx."

I smiled and hugged him.
