I woke up with a throbbing pain in my cheek.

Jinx: "Ow... James, you prick."

It took me a moment to get my bearings, but I realised I was sitting in a chair that my wrists and ankles were cuffed to. And I was in a room I'd never been in before.

Jinx: "Where in the hell-?"

???: "Jinx... also known as inmate number 33."

I turned my head to see a man I unfortunately did recognise.

Jinx: "Well, if it is juvie's warden."

Juvie Warden: "How long has it been since you were sent here after murdering your parents and sister?"

Jinx: "Eight years."

Juvie Warden: "That's right. Eight years since you killed my sister, brother-in-law, and niece."

Jinx: "I'm your niece too- AH!"

He hit me.

Uncle: "Bullshit! You're a disgrace on this family and a disease!"

Jinx: "Ah- this whole family... is a disease... I never asked to be born into it!"

Uncle: "I thought I could forgive you for what you did. I thought I could rehabilitate you here. But no."

I spat up blood and laughed.

Jinx: "Hahahah- that's too damn bad... because you can't forgive someone who's not sorry. AAH- rrrgh...!"

He gut punched me.

Jinx: "I would have killed you too if I had gotten the chance... but the ones who really hurt me are gone... by my hand... My mother, father, Raven, Damien... they got what they deserved... Hit me all you want... it's not going to bring them back..."

Uncle: "Maybe not. But it satisfies me."

He hit me again and again. My body was in so much pain, I wanted to cry. But I refused to give him the satisfaction. It finally seemed like he was done. I took a few shaky breaths before looking up again.

Jinx: "Did you bring me in here just for this shit... or was there another reason."

Uncle: "Yes, I'm transferring you. Escaping every day? Starting riots? I don't need that shit. I want you out of my sight."

Jinx: "Oh yeah... where am I going?"

Uncle: "That's for me to know and you to find out."

Jinx: "Fine- *cough cough* Then can we wrap this up? I've got... a family to go back to."

Uncle: "Family? You have nothing of the sort."

Jinx: "Ha, that's where you're wrong... what, you thought I took care of myself for all those years?"

He pulled out an injection.

Jinx: "*sniff sniff* A knock out drug? Fun... I love surprises. Where do ya stick it?"

Uncle: "Will you shut up!"

Jinx: "If you want me to stop then put me out already. I'm honestly sick of looking at you."

He stuck it in my neck and injected. I instantly felt sleepy.

Jinx: "Wow, that stuff works fast... Oh wait, one more thing..."

Uncle: "What now?"

I smiled and stuck my middle finger up at him.

Jinx: "See you in hell, old man—"

Next thing I knew, I was out.
