-Bakugou’s POV-
I woke up to an empty nest, looking around for my redheaded dumbass. I sighed after not seeing him in the room, getting up and grabbing a shirt. I put it on and headed out into the hall, looking around. I walked down towards the kitchen after hearing a small rumble from my stomach. I made it through the door, seeing Deku and that two toned moron against one of the counters. Deku was on the counter with the moron between his thighs. I frowned at them, quietly starting to make some food for myself.
“Hey Kacchan, do you think you’d be up for a ride later?” Deku asked, getting a glare in return.
“Fuck off nerd, I’ll go for a ride when I want and not with you.” I said, turning back to the task at hand.
I could hear people starting to come in, sounding shocked that I was cooking. When I finally finished the eggs and ham that I was making for me to eat I turned to find a familiar pair of red eyes watching me. I hadn’t heard him enter the room as I stood by the stove. I slowly walked over to him, getting pulled onto his leg, and eating slowly. I offered him a piece but he only shook his head in response. I finished up as quickly as I could with a dragon right next to me with a hungry look in his eye.
“Hey Bakugou, you ready for your wedding next month?” Pinky asked, getting my attention.
“So the old hag finally picked a date, sure I guess I am.” I replied, glancing at Kiri for a second.
“I hear Denki and Shinsou are gonna be inviting family over to help with the lighting and decorating. They are the best this kingdom has after all.” she added, making me nod.
“Do you think your mom would invite Shoto’s family?” she asked, I could feel Kiri tense under me at the mention of them.
“Absolutely not, you saw Kiri’s reaction to just one of them.” I said, a hint of disgust in the last word.
“It’d only be for a day though, they can’t stay past the ceremony for treaty reasons anyway.” she said dismissively.
“I said no, I get final say in the guest list either way. They won’t be here.” I growled, finishing the last of my food and dragging Kiri out with me.
We walked through the halls for a few minutes as I tried to calm myself down. Once we were a ways away from everyone else I felt him wrap his arms around me and put his chin between my neck and shoulder. I held onto one of his arms, slowly calming down with a pout. I looked over at him to see his eyes closed, looking quite peaceful. I almost smiled at how beautiful he looked, but I’m not soft so I didn’t.
I went to speak to him when I noticed an extra come around the corner and head towards us. They had a small stack of papers with them, probably my old hag’s aid. As they got closer I glared at them, hoping they’d leave us be. They didn’t though, still getting closer until they were in front of me with Kiri watching them over my shoulder.
“Prince Katsuki, you are required to attend a meeting with the Southern Kingdom in a few hours. Orders by her majesty.” they said, a stoic and bored look on their face.
“Why do I have to be there? It’s none of my business yet.” I grumbled.
“Since you agreed to be married sooner, her majesty requires that you start learning to run the Kingdom.” they stated plainly.
“Grr, fine whatever. Kiri comes with me though, otherwise I don’t go.” I growled, grabbing his hand and walking towards the meeting hall.
-Kirishima’s POV-
We made our way through the halls until we reached a door that looked almost as decorative as the one to the throne room. Behind the door was a room with an almost full hollowed circle table with two people seated off to one side while the queen and a few others were opposite them. There was someone off to the side in the middle with a folder of papers. Kat walked over to two empty seats and made me sit next to him.
“Now that everyone is here, we can continue.” one of the people around the queen stated.
I looked over to the two people opposite us as everyone started to discuss things. I tuned them out as I observed the men seated a bit too close together. One of them was shorter with dark purple hair and downcast eyes. His clothes were simple, with blues and purples all over in a conservitave fashion. The man next to him had bright blonde hair like Denki, his eyes were sky blue and a smile was on his face as he listened to the person talking. His clothes were more like what I had worn as I was traveling before meeting Kat, light and somewhat revealing with a simple fashion to them.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to catch their scent to see what they were planning to do. I could make out the queen's perfume and Kat right beside me. Aside from that there was a heavy scent of cologne that smells awful. I had to focus for a second on not gagging at the scent. When I finally managed to ignore it I caught a faint scent of blueberries and sunflowers. I tried to figure out where it was coming from when I heard Kat say something.
“I don’t care what he does, Kiri is his own person so fuck off smiley.” he growled out as I opened my eyes.
Everyone had been looking at me and I had leaned forward at some point. I sat up straight again and looked around as they went back to their conversation, but the guy with dark blue hair was watching me this time. I made eye contact with him for a moment, feeling like I knew him from somewhere. Before I could pinpoint it he leaned into the blonde and said something to him, so quiet that even I didn’t hear him.
“Is there any way someone could escort Tamaki back to our room?” the blonde asked, making me look at the guy.
“Of course, Ezra can take him there.” the queen replied, signalling one of the few female guards to step forwards.
“Thank you madam, he doesn’t like being in meetings for too long.” the blonde explained as the guy and guard left the room.
“That’s fine. Now back to the fact of trade.” she replied, getting a nod from the man.
“I believe that it would be beneficial to both kingdoms to trade goods. You need fruits and vegetables, and we need metals and weapons. Together we’d be able to balance each other out for the benefit of both of us.” he said confidently.
“What happens if we refuse?” Kat asked, getting a pointed look from his mother and a smile from the guy.
“Then neither of us will make it through winter as well as we could potentially and you’d have one less Ally. Many would fall ill or worse.” he stated, making Kat look thoughtful.
“We will debate terms and rules later, but it would be best if we agreed now. We will open our borders to trade with you, so long as that is the only reason. Should any problems arise between us, they will be handled by me personally.” the queen stated, everyone standing.
The queen and the other people left the room, leaving the blonde with me and Kat. I had an uneasy feeling when he looked over at us and smiled. I carefully backed up towards Kat, never taking my eyes off the person in front of us. He seemed to assess Kat for a second before he pointed to the base of his neck and spoke.
“Your mark is showing Prince Katsuki. Your mate must be proud.” he said, making me tense slightly.
“What of it, smiley? What’s it to you anyways?” Kat replied, sounding slightly annoyed.
“Personally, nothing. My mate left under guard a few minutes ago, but two dragons as mates is much more natural then a human and dragon.” he said, making his way around the table.
“Ya? Well it’s no one’s business but mine. Besides, he doesn’t seem to mind.” Kat growled.
“Hmm, based on your defensiveness earlier I’d say the redhead here, Kiri I believe, is your dragon.” the blonde said, gesturing to me next to Kat.
“Only I call him that asshat, if we weren’t trying to be diplomatic with you people I’d pumble you.” Kat nearly yelled.
I quickly grabbed him as he tried to get closer to the other blonde with a snarl. His aggressive wants were very clearly seen as he flailed and bit before calming down in my arms. He huffed and pouted, looking off to the side as I held him. I finally let him go when I was sure he was calm, watching him storm out of the room as I followed not too far behind. I threw one last look and the smiling blonde in the meeting hall, getting a smile and wave as he turned to leave through the door his mate went prior.
