They had woken up around the same time. Well really Gumball woke up and almost pushed Marshall off the bed. "Chill your buns gummy" he hissed floating back up. Blue eyes met reds ones an the memories came folding back. Gumball's heart beat sped up as he griped the sheets. "Marshall" he whimpered letting himself lose whatever dignity he had remaining. "I'm so sorry this happened..it couldn't have been easy on you either and here I was blubbering like a newborn baby" truly he felt miserable. Countless questions needed answered but how could he answer them if his mind was as cloudy as the sky. "oi! Man Gumwad I didn't think you could wallow yourself this deep but maybe I was wrong. You don't get it do you? I won't let you go about this alone" just to make sure he was clear he thumped Gumball's temple a few times "okay okay" the prince groaned swatting Marshall's hand away. They both looked like they had gotten into a fighting match with the messy hair monster, but honestly it was the best slumber either of them had, had in a while. Gumball realized he needed to get dressed and inform his subjects. "This might not be so comforting but, if you don't get the girl finished in time and if we do have to go through with the marriage then..if I end up ruling next to someone, I'm glad it's next to you" Gumball's breathing hitched as he reached out to touch Marshall's hand. He grasped it in both of his before continuing to speak "Thank you Marshall, you might not admit it but your a good friend". Both males watched each other intently until Marshall jumped back "Okay well what's the plan for today hm?". Letting out a soft chuckle the prince got to his feet "I need to get dressed and call a meeting, I'll be making a stronger army incase your mothers words aren't trustworthy and she attacks anyway, and... I'll get started on your wife". So many things to do and so little time. why couldn't Gumball's parents have left him a note or anything..why? He had to mush those feelings down. "I'll send for Fiona and she can help train them..i just hope-" Gumball cut himself short and cleared his throat. "Do you need me to do anything?" Marshall questioned floating up from his spot in the bed. "Just be by my side okay?" Mockingly the vampire king bowed "anything for you, your royal gumwad". Gumball roles his eyes and grabbed his clothes "I'm getting dressed" he stated "don't trip" Marshall retorted a cocky grin spread across his face.
After he was all ready Gumball sent someone for Fionna and cake then he called for a mass meeting for everyone in the kingdom. It didn't seem like all that much but when he went to his balcony and saw all the sweet smiles waiting for him his heart sank. "I..I don't think I.." Cutting him off Marshall laid his hand on Gumball's shoulder "I'll do it get me an umbrella". he wanted to say no, he wanted to be sting enough to tell everyone.. he just loved his kingdom so much. The pink hair male nodded and retrieved the largest one and handed it to him. Everyone made a slight gasp as marshal stepped into sight "everyone!" He yelled "Shut up this is important!" As the whispers died down he continued to explain everything Gumball went up and stood next to him as he spoke "And that's everything" he turned to float away leaving the entire crowd speechless but stopped to turn back "And just a heads up, you'll be seeing me more around the kingdom" with that he turned with a wink and went back inside. Gumball walked to the edge of the balcony. "Thank you everyone for understanding..please continue to have a pleasant day" bowing he turned back to follow Marshall. "Thank you" Gumball sighed as he ran his hand through his soft pink hair, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Your oh-so-welcome my prince" Marshall grinned. Laughter and foot step came from outside his bedroom. both boys new who it was and a smile graced there features. swinging the door open Fiona grasped them int a tight hug. "Oh my glob guys I herd what happened" she then turned to Gumball "it'll be okay I'll do whatever I can. "As will i" flame prince stated and Gumball snapped his head to look at the fiery male. It wasn't like he didn't like him just that when someone as dangerous as him was so unpredictable you stay your distance. But Fiona said he was getting better and cake said he didn't get as angry when she was with him so he of course didn't mind his company. "Fiona, I have a special mission just for you. Do you think your up for it?" Gumball questioned. "Anything for you dude!" She chirped clenching both her firsts in anticipation. "I need you to tran my banana guards how to fight using their swords and spears" he mumbled. The idea of being so on guard didn't set well with him but he continued to explain why he needed it to be done. Cake also agreed to help train and be a lookout for the kingdom, even though he did already have the Gumball guardians the more help the better. "Excuse me Gumball?" Flam prince interrupted "If you would like I could see if my kingdoms army would be able to send people over to help" Marshall shook his head and floated over to the group. "My mom would think of it as a threat and attack before we were ready" everyone nodded in agreement. "Thank you though flame it means a lot you wish to help". That day they spent working in the lab and sometimes Monochrome would drop by after a patrol of the kingdom. Everything seemed to be okay except the case of the girl Gumball had to make. "I've already taken samples from Marshall and collected most of the data I need from him that we where going to use in another experiment but it seems more useful for this matter" again everyone just nodded waiting for his continuation. "But I need a human girls DNA to mix with my own to create a female". Fiona blushed a deep red and flame stood immediately "woah there buddy what do you mean DNA?". Marshall stepped between them stopping the hot head. "He means like some blood and a hair sample like what he did to me, don't go freaking out just yet buddy"
A couple of minuets later Fiona agreed and was led into Gumball lab. After taking the blood andj poking her up to an IV Gumball gently removed her hat. "I'll be cutting your hair now" he only received a nod from her. She didn't really seen to care all the much about her hair but still Gumball new he only needed about and inch from the bottom. A few snips her and there and he was done. Fiona sat up asking for flame so Gumball and him switched places and Gumball went outside the room to talk with Marshall. "do you-" he stopped his voice catching in his throat "Do you plan on having children?" He asked. Marshall stopped. "well if I asked you couldn't you just make me children" he finally answered. "I just thought you would be doing that on your own" he mumbled his head down so his pink hair could brush against his face. "Well I don't know if I would have agreed to marry you we wouldn't of had children anyway..." Gumball nodded in agreement "if" he muttered and turned to head back to his lab.
