Love Bites!

Mother Dearest

Gumball had taken Marshall back to the candy kingdom. For so long his troubled feelings had, had time to swell up inside of him. Though he never wanted to admit it, he had always felt something about Marshall he never felt for another. Now it was time to let it all out, for the both of them.
Marshall sat across from the pink haired prince with a nervous smile. They were both in their trousers due to the muddy outside ground. But their eyes did not stray from each other as Gumball took the vampire kings face in his hands and laid a gentle kiss across his pale, thin lips. Grabbing Gumball's side firmly the taller male deepened the kiss only to pull away a moment later. Marshall's heart, once thought to be a cold stone was absolutely pounding inside his chest.
   "Gumball" The prince had very rarely herd that name come from him, and now he was a bit worried. He sounded so serious, and to be truthful he wasn't used to serious being apart of the vampires demeanor.
  "Y-Yes Marshall Lee?" His own words faltered from embarrassment, his normally pinkish white features falling a dark crimson.
   "I don't want to be with something artificially created to love me, because the feelings I have aren't fake and I'm tired of people deciding who I can and can't be with, or people forcing me to do things I don't want to or are just to soon to do" They slowly leaned closer to each other, finding comfort in the warmth before they kissed once again, This time the perfect pink male being the first to pull away. It was so sudden, so many things were going on inside their heads. Of course the tension in the air could be cut with a knife. Crimson orbs met bluish/pink, mesmerized with each other for only a moment.
The smaller of the duo frowned, his features where now plastered with worry and it didn't take a genius to know why. "What are we going to tell your mother?" of course Gumball was the first to bring light to the issue. She would be okay with it right? She was the one trying to force it one them in the first place anyway. Sighing the king leaned back and shrugged "Would it not be alright? She /Did/ push it.."        
    With that both nodded and figured the best way to find out if it was all okay was to go and question the queen herself.
The following evening, when the sun was just low enough for the pair to creep out of the kingdom without notice, they left. Gumball pressed close to the vampiric king as they took flight into the night.

In hind-site it would have been best to inform her ahead of time of their arrival, she wasn't all that pleased with their arrival being so unannounced.
   "You boys.." her slender fingers went to her temples as she attempted to collect the right words through her anger. "You have feelings for one another is what i am collecting from this? Oh glob.. am here I was hoping for a daughter in law"
   To expect anything less then an argument from the vampire queen was absurd, that much Gumball gathered. But the woman seemed a bit caring— in the oddest of ways— and after hours of arguing and even a bit of physical altercation, she gave in. "If it's really want you want Marshall, but don't let me find out that boy broke your heart... a mother knows best! And son, please—" he stuck his tongue out at her, cutting her off.
"Knock it off already mom, let me live. I am a king after all!"
That seemingly shocked everyone, and as those words sank in it gave the boys just enough time to dash, Marshall gripping Gumballs wrist as he was dragged out.
"You really think this is it? After everything she's just gonna let this go? Marshall Lee I don't know—" In a quick moment their lips were pressed together, Marshall still holding his wrist.
"Damn it let her rip apart every inch of our land, I'll rebuild with you. I'm tired of this, you.. you have to be tired of it two Gum-wad"
"I..I.. marshall I think..—"
"That's your problem Prince" Marshall slammed him against the thick, dark trunk of an old oak tree, his forked tongue finding it's way to his neck.
