Marshall Lee's hands clasped together with the princes as he leaned his forehead against Gumball's, their eyes closed as they took in each other's presence.
"Gumball, do you think this is going too fast?"
A moment of silence held fast to those words as the Pink fleshed male pondered. "Well.. we've known each other so long...but I will admit we.. could go slower.."
"But I don't want to go slow Gumball.. I'm tired of.. I'm just tired.."
Gumball nodded and pulled his king closer so that he could run his fingers through his hair and calm him. "I know.. I understand Marshall. Would you..—" His breath hitched before he continued, blush once again blooming in his cheeks. "W-would you.. accompany me to bed tonight?"
The vampire chuckled at his nervous friend, pulling back but keeping his hold on the others free hand. "Are you, my prestigious prince Gum-Wad, asking me to.. sleep with you?"
"N-no such thing! S-sleep next to me p-perhaps but I—"
"You're what? You still wouldn't have sex with me? Just say it man it's okay, I'm pretty sure you've never even touched yourself. No judgment here, when you are ready we'll.. well.." His slender fingers slid up the others back, gooseflesh littering the smaller boy's body as Marshall touched him.
"M-Marshall.. don't tease me.. nh.. s-stop t-that kind of t-tickles.. ha..aha.. m-Marshall Lee! Don't tickle me!" He swiftly pushed the boy back, covering his face a bit to hid how truly embarrassed he was. "You know what, never mind, don't come back with me. You're closer to your place where we are now anyway. Goodnight Marshall Lee"
The Kings eyes widened, his heart skipping a beat in fear, which was one emotion he only liked when other people felt it. "No, no, no Gumball, come here I'm sorry.. I don't know a lot about this stuff.. dang man. I really like you. I like your stupid pink clothes and the way you wear your stupid crown. I love the way you push my buttons and let me get close to you.. and the way you never ran away and I hate how perfectly pink you are"
"You think I'm perfect?" The king now had his full attention.
"Well you're.. you. I like you.. ah whatever it's cold and you're gonna get sick if you don't get back to your kingdom soon. So I'm gonna take you back and it'll be to light outside for me to turn back by then and I'm sleeping with you. It's final. So get over here and let's get you home."
"Y-yes my king" Marshall's face went an extremely dark red, forcing him to turn and hid it.
"Oh glob.. why'd you have to go and say something like that.."
Gumball chuckled and waited for the vampire to take him into his arms once more, which happened after the king was able to regain his his composure.
They were back to the Candy Kingdom in no time, the flight awkward as neither spoke.
"Gumball.. hey dude we're here you don't have to hold on so tight anymore. Hey dude?"
The man pushed some hair out of his sleeping princes face, only to find that he was sound asleep. "Man.. you really get on my nerves you know that?" He sighed and carried his sleeping beauty back to his chambers, laying him gently onto the plush sheets. "Are you gonna wake up and get undressed? Ah.. such a lazy prince"
Marshall Lee shimmied off all but one item of clothing, having promised his pretty prince they'd both take things slow— although he also preferred his lover's to be awake. Once Gumball was no longer clothed he pulled his own jeans off and then moved to unbutton his shirt. With a smirk he helped the other get into his flannel. "Well Gummy, red and black looks amazing on you. I hope you're not mad when you wake up.. but then again I don't care."
With that the king pressed close behind him, his arms wrapped around the princes pale pink torso. He was surprisingly warm, this was definitely something he could get used to.
   "Goodnight Gumball.."
Silence filled the room, the boys holding each other close throughout the night. In truth it was probably the most peace either had gotten in weeks, but perhaps it was just the calm before the storm.
