Chapter Fourteen: Seeing Red

A/N: I noticed that I accidentally used "Sacred" Instead of "Scarab". From this chapter onward it will be "Scarab".

Liam POV

All of us, except for Devon were morphed, and fighting Tronics. "Where's Devon?" Zoey asked. "We really need his help." I said. "He was out jogging, he can't be far off." Ravi replied. Devon appeared using his Cheetah Speed. "Sorry, who wasn't far off." Devon said as he laughed, and went to fight the Tronics. "Devon." Ravi called. "What?" Zoey questioned. "What happened?" I asked. We continue fighting the Tronics.

Roxy fired at Devon, and he deflected her attacks. We stood next to Devon. "You don't stand a chance, against all six of us." Zoey said. Devon went and fight Roxy, and Burnatron. "Devon." Nate called. "What?" Zoey said. Nate, and Steel try to attack Burnatron, but Devon got to him first. Roxy, and Burnatron ended up retreating. "Chicken!" Devon said as he de-morphed.

All of us de-morphed, and went to Devon. "That was something wasn't it?" Devon asked. "Yeah, something alright." Ravi said. "Huh? What's wrong, guys?" Devon asked. "To starts with, you messed up our attack." Steel said. "Plus, you were kinda late." Zoey added. "Well, nothing bad happened. Luckily, when the Fury Cell burned down, I just snagged a new one." Devon said holding up the burned down Fury Cell.

Nate took it. "Interesting, seems that every time you use Fury Mode, it uses up part of the cell. Better be careful Devon, even that new one won't last forever." Nate said. "Relax, with this awesome power. Evox is on the ropes. Now who's thirsty, let's hit to Riptide." Devon said. "You guys go, I have some lab work to do." Nate said. We left.

All of us are now at Riptide Gym. "Have you guys notice, that Devon's been acting a bit, you know strange?" Zoey asked. "If by strange you mean self-absorbed, and totally rude, than yeah." Steel said. "Hey team, here's our drinks." Devon said. We took our drinks. "I'll be right back." Devon said. We stood up from our seats. "What's he doing now?" Steel asked. Devon begin 'training' with the people in the middle of the gym. "That's what you mean by strange right?" Steel asked.

Devon continued 'training'. We walked up to Devon. Zoey cleared her throat catching Devon's attention. "The Commander just called, we need to go now." Zoey said. "But, I'm just warming up." Devon said. "Come on, dude." Steel said. "Let's go." I said. "Okay." Devon said returning the gear back to the trainers.

All of us are back in Grid Battleforce. "This is a simulation of Devon's DNA. I, uh, took a hair sample earlier today." Nate said. "You took my hair?" Devon questioned. "You've been acting a little strange." Nate said. "It's the Fury Cell isn't it?" Zoey asked. "They're affecting your brain functions." Commander Shaw said. "Humane responses are being stripped away, and replace with something more primal. The Fury Cell is making you kinda bad." Nate said. "Impossible. I fell great, I've been helping people." Devon said. "Like this police officer?" Commander Shaw questioned showing us the news.

"Well, uh, okay, so I might be a little bit more aggressive. Maybe, but I'm not hurting anyone. Except Robotrons." Devon said. "The effects could be permanent. Devon you gotta take it off." Nate said trying to get the Fury Cell. "No way! This Fury Cell is our best chance to defeat Evox for good." Devon said. "You can't do this on your own." Zoey said. "We need to work as a team." I said. "You don't even have a plan." Ravi said. "You're hurting the team." Commander Shaw said. "Oh, really? Than maybe I don't need a team." Devon said. "What?" Steel questioned. "You won't help me, than I'll do it without you! Just watch!" Devon said as he leave.

"Devon. Should we stop 'em?" Steel asked. "I think it's okay for now. There isn't much left of that Fury Cell, it won't be enough to turn him evil forever." Nate said. "Let's just hope it's the last one." Zoey said. "Yeah." I said. Commander Shaw's Wrist-com beeped. "Tronics in, Sector Tango 5-1." An employee said. "Move out." Commander Shaw said. All of us left.

All of us arrived at the location. "Tronics!" Ravi said. "Everybody get to safety!" Zoey said. 

"It's Morphin' Time!" Ravi shouted. We summoned our Morphers.

"Activate Beast Power!" We shouted. Mists of our Ranger Color surrounded us, and we morphed.

"Unleash The Beast!" We shouted.

We begin fighting the Tronics. I did some acrobatics knocking the Tronics out. "Beast Blast!" All of us shouted as we fired at the Tronics. Roxy, and Burnatron appeared. "Rangers, had to say it's a shame you couldn't all be here. Because news flash, without your Red Friend here to help, this Fury Cell's more than a match for you." Roxy said. "Oh no, another cell." Nate said. "Stop blabbering and power me up." Burnatron said. "We gotta destroy that cell." Ravi said. All of us nodded our heads agreeing. "Yeah." Zoey said. We tried to went after them, but Roxy fired at us. We fell to the ground.

"Now, I will power-up this Robotron, with the very last Fury Cell." Roxy said. "Not so fast. That cell is mine." Devon said. "Devon, no!" Ravi yelled. "Devon, yes." Roxy said. Devon spinned around Roxy, and Burnatron. Roxy dropped the Fury Cell. "Like I said, I can do this without you." Devon said. "You're making a mistake." Steel said. "Just listen." Zoey said. "I'm done with talking." Devon said. Ravi grabbed the Fury Cell before Devon could. "Wait, that's enough." Ravi said. "Give me that Fury Cell." Devon said. "Sorry, not gonna happen this is for your own good." Ravi said. "Give it to me!" Devon said. Ravi got out of the way.

We tried to went after Devon, and Ravi, but got stopped by Burnatron. "Not so fast, I'm not done with you yet." Burnatron said. All of us begin fighting.

We were still fighting Burnatron. We saw Devon going after Ravi. "No!" Nate said. "Devon no!" Zoey said. We continue fighting Burnatron. "Beast Blast!" We shouted as we fired at Burnatron, and he fell to the ground. "No don't do it!" Steel said. "This isn't who you are, Devon!" I said.

Devon got the Fury Cell, Fury Mode was gone. Devon was about to place the new Fury Cell, but stopped. He ended up crushing the Fury Cell, and throwing it at Roxy, who teleported away.

"Ravi, I got you man. I'm so sorry, that Fury Energy made me- well I wasn't myself." Devon said. We went up to check on them. "It's good to have you back buddy." Ravi said tiredly. Devon, and Ravi hugged.

"No more power-up huh? I don't need a Fury Cell to take you out!" Burnatron said. "Think again!" Zoey said. "Let's get 'em!" Nate said. We begin fighting Burnatron.

Zoey went to attack Burnatron, but got stopped. "Nice try." Burnatron said. Burnatron threw Zoey. "Zoey!" Nate called. Burnatron attacked all of us, and we fell. We saw a Gigadrone appeared. "No, the Gigadrone's already here." Zoey said. "That's not good." I said. The Gigadrone faced the Morph-X tower. "Look!" Zoey said. "The Morph-X tower!" Nate said. Devon stopped the Gigadrone.

We continued fighting Burnatron. "Scarab Power!" Steel said. "Mantis Power!" Nate said. "Striker Beast Slash!" Steel, and Nate shouted as they attack Burnatron. It took out Burnatron's flame. "No! My precious flame!" Burnatron exclaimed. "Nice moves! Now let's snap this Robotron out!" Zoey said. "Let's go!" I said. "Alright!" Nate said. "Ready!" Zoey said. "Charge!" Nate said. "Beast Blast!" We shouted as we fired at Burnatron, and destroyed him. "We've put out one candle, now let's help Devon with the other one." Steel said. "You two go, my energy's low. I need a carrot asap." Zoey said. "I lost a lot of my energy fighting that Robotron, as well." I said. Me, and Zoey head back to the base.

All of us are back at Riptide Gym. Devon just finished giving Ben, and Betty a cake for General Burke's birthday. "Hey guys, I'm glad I caught up with you. I treated you all really badly, especially you, Ravi, it could've been a disaster if you didn't stand up to me. I don't know how I can make it up to you." Devon said.

"It was a close call, but we're all okay. None of us would ever give up on you." Ravi said. "We're a team, always." Nate said. "We work together." I said. "And that's what important." Steel said. General Burke appeared. "Happy birthday, General Burke." Ravi said. "Thanks, and uh, well done today, team. Now I heard my kids have a birthday surprise for me." General Burke said. All of us looked over to Ben, and Betty.

Red icing got on General Burke. "Oops." Betty said. "Sorry, dad." Ben said. "Happy birthday?" Betty said. "Why I never, tasted such delicious icing. Maybe you should try some." General Burke said as he grabbed blue icing and it got on Ben, and Betty. "Icing Fight!" Ben, and Betty shouted. They begin having fun. All of us laughed.
