Chapter Thirty-Seven: Source Code

Liam POV

Me, Devon, and Ravi are in the room, with our blasters. The others came in. "Devon, Ravi, Liam, back me up." Nate said. "Roger." Ravi said. "Ready." Zoey said. "Okay, lower the shields." Nate said. "Lowering." Zoey said. "Ready? Fire!" Commander Shaw said. Nate fired at Evox. "Again." Commander Shaw said. "Re-energizing." Nate said. Nate fired at Evox again.

"Nice shot, Nate. It's working." Ravi said. "Focus, Rangers. Again!" Commander Shaw said. "Re-energizing." Nate said. Nate fired again, but the shields was on. "What the?" Steel said. "Did you reactivate the wall?" Nate asked. "No!" Zoey said. "It wasn't me." Steel said. "And it won't go back down again." Zoey said.

"It's Evox. Somehow he's controlling the computer." Nate said. "Step by step, my plans have brought us to this moment. You've reached the final chapter of your story." Evox said. Evox went to the computers. "Look out." Nate said. We got out of the way. "He's using the computers to access the Morph-X Towers." Zoey said.

"Destroy the computer!" Nate said. Me, Devon, and Ravi destroyed the computer using our blasters. "he's getting away!" Steel said. "He's still in the system, he wants to get into the Morphin' Grid, but there's only a few computers that have direct access to the tower network. We gotta destroy them, before he can get in." Nate said. "Go!" Commander Shaw said. "We'll start with the command room." Nate said.

We got to the Command Room. Nate fired at Evox. "Destroy the computers!" Nate said. Me, Devon, and Ravi begin destroying the computers. "No! He's getting away!" Zoey said. "He's damaged is he leaving a trail?" Steel asked. Zoey checked the computers. "He's headed towards the research room." Zoey said.

"Look out!" Nate shouted as we went to the Research Room. Zoey opened the door, and Nate fired at Evox. Devon destroyed the computer. "Now where would he go next?" Steel questioned. "Hard to say." Nate said. Devon's Wrist-com beeped. "Go ahead." Devon said. "Someone just accessed the vault." Commander Shaw said. "He's in my lab." Nate said. We rushed to Nate's lab.

We saw Evox, took out the RPM Rangers Morpher, the Cell Shift Morpher. "That's a Cell Shift Morpher." Nate said. "He's repairing himself." Devon said. "That's impossible." Nate said. NAte, and Devon fired at Evox, but Evox absorbed it. "You're powerless against me, now. I'm more than Evox, haven't you figured it out. You, you should know who I truly am." Evox said pointing at Nate.

"What are you talking about?" Nate asked. "Years ago, you experimented with old Ranger Technology, hoping to find a new way to morph." Evox said. "Yes, but how do you know about that?" Nate said. "Because, I was there." Evox said. Nate realized something.

"You were just a foolish little boy, trying to power old Rangers Morphers, with Morph-X, and Snake DNA. All of your efforts failed, until you try to Cell Shift Morpher. That DNA became part of my data, and I was released into your system, a dead end for you, a new beginning for me. You're starting to put it together, a Cell Shift Morpher that could mean only one thing. I was Venjix! I have had many forms, and now my victory is certain!" Evox said.

"So he's the computer virus that almost destroyed world?" Ravi said. "No way." I said. "That can't be true, Nate." Zoey said. "Bro?" Steel said. "It is true! I've waited years, for you to energize the Morph-X Towers, so I could harness the Morphin' Grid, and today that becomes reality!" Evox said as he attack us.

We fell to the ground. Evox walked pass us. "No, stop!" Devon said trying to catch him. "Is it true, Nate? What he said? Did you create Evox from a virus in that old Morpher?" Devon asked. "It was years ago, I was just a kid." Nate said. "So it is possible." Devon said. "Yes, I guess. I might've released Venjix into our world." Nate said.
