Chapter 2
I was in my classroom. Classroom 4-B. And no. I'm not sitting in the back seat by the window, so you can get that image out of your head. Oh, and also. Our classroom was located on the highest floor, so climbing up all those stairs really sucked. I was actually sweating after climbing up those flights of stairs. I just hope... Okasawa doesn't see me like this. Or rather.
*Slam!*
Please tell me we're in the same class! Back when I was searching for my class, I didn't check who was in my class because I wanted it to be a total surprise! But looking back now, I should've just looked at it! If I did, I wouldn't have to succumb to these butterflies that are piling up in my stomach! Why, oh why did I doom myself into this situation?!
*Sliide!*
I-Is that?!
"Yo! Sir!"
"..."
"We're in the same class again! Haha! What a coincidence!"
"...What's up, Shawn."
"Why do you sound so dead inside, bro?"
My disappointment is immeasurable, but I might as well introduce him. His name's Shawn. Shawn Cortez. A foreigner who transferred into this school during the middle of the first trimester back during my first year. What does he look like? The exact same as any foreigner in anime. By that, I mean blonde hair. A cute look, but with a touch of punk. Pair that along with the uniform and you got Shawn. Back when he first came, he had nobody to talk to. He was just walking around with constant stutters. Since he looked like a lost soul desperate for guidance, I decided to give him a quick tour of the school. Guess that looked like an invitation to becoming friends with me or something, because he wouldn't get off my back after that. Eventually, I gave up. We started talking and later on became friends. Shares the same interests as I do. Watches anime. Reads manga. Not exactly what I expected in a foreigner, but that's who he is. Well, a part of it may be because I introduced him to all of that.
"Sir?"
"*Sigh...*"
"Ohh, I get it. Hehe. I know what you're waiting for."
"...?"
What is he talking abo-?
*Slam!*
"You're obviously waiting for one of the queens to show up through that door, right?!"
"..."
Well, I'm waiting for Okasawa.
"Fufufu! I know everything about you, sir! Of course, you'll be waiting for them to show up here! I don't blame you though. It's only natural for boys like us to be waiting for the queens. Praying that we'll be in the same class as them."
Hold on. I didn't say you were right. Not that you were.
"Ahh, the queens of this school! Women that no man could ever hope to tame! If any one of them is asked and taken to prom, then the title of king will surely be given to that man!"
Sure, but why are you talking like you're in a Shakespeare play?
"...Sir."
"...?"
"I know... that you aim for the title of king yourself. And back when you offered your presence to this pitiful dog, I made a promise. That as your sir Lancelot, I'd do everything in my power to help you."
