    Finally finished my homework. That took way too long for me to do. A grand total... of three hours. If I didn't spend the past two days working and watching anime to calm myself, I wouldn't have had this pile of homework. Sigh... Maybe I should calm down with my anime binge. Or maybe I should not watch anime while doing homework.

    *Brring! Brring!*

    "...?"

    A phone call? I picked up my phone to see that it was Shawn who was calling. Him? What could he want? I was just about to go to my fridge to eat takuan for the third time today.

    *Brring! Brring!*

    Might as well pick up.

    "Hello?"

    "H-Hey. Is now a good time?"

    "...? I guess? What's up? Everything okay?"

    "Y-Yeah. Sorry for calling so suddenly, but I really needed to talk to you."

    It's been a while since I heard Shawn this down in the dumps. I had a good feeling it had something to do with him trying to ask Cassidy out, but I wasn't going to be the one to bring it up. I'll just wait for him to say it.

    "...So, um... Remember how I said I was going to ask Cassidy out?"

    "Oh. Yeah. Did you do it?"

    "I did. I asked her to meet me at the special tree that's located right behind the school."

    I think I got it. The worst-case scenario.

    "So she didn't show up?"

    "No. She did."

    Oh? If not that, then maybe...

    "She said no?"

    "N-No. Not that. She... asked me to give her some time to think."

    "..."

    In other words, the nice way of saying no. Sorry, Shawn.

    "Basically, what I wanted to tell you is... I'm going to be meeting her tomorrow, so I won't be able to help you. Forgive me, sir."

    "It's fine. Just. Uhh, wait a second. Help me with what?"

    "You see, sir. I had a whole plan made for tomorrow to help further boost your odds of becoming king. But... Khh! Due to the sudden mission, this one needs to put it off for another time!"

    A plan?

    "Good grief. Just what the heck were you planning?"

    "*Sniff!* It would've been a big bang. That's for sure."

    Not going to lie. Kinda glad he had to put it off.

    "Anyways. I said what I needed to say. This one apologizes for disturbing you after school hours. I'll leave you to whatever it is you were-."

    He stopped?

    "W-Wait. Sir. This is merely a question out of sheer curiosity but... Did you... ever text the shining beauty?"
