    2:55. Five minutes before the time we were supposed to meet up. For my clothes, I just put on a regular tee and jeans. I would've bought clothes, but I seriously needed to save some money in case I needed to head to the supermarket. Umu. If there was a sale, I'd be taking full advantage!

    *Bam!*

    But man... It's been a while since I've been to this arcade. The last time I did was back when I was showing Shawn around the place. We didn't do much. Just played a couple games and left. But he got totally hooked on this one game after I beat him ten times in a row. The old Road Brawler knockout. Heh. I wonder if he got any better at that. Probably not since I'm sure he spent all his time watching anime to somewhat catch up to my level. Hmph. Speaking of Shawn...

    *Tap! Tap!*

    Where the heck is he?! It's now a minute past three! I swear if this was some sort of elaborate scheme for me to ask someone out to the mall, I'm going to take one of those prize scarves and wrap it tightly around your-!

    "Hey, sir!"

    About time.

    "Hello! Hayake-san!"

    "..."

Those two... They were walking together, which means they clearly met at a different location. How the heck are they already at that stage?! Are they certain they didn't skip a couple?!
    "W-Wow. I didn't expect you to come here so early."

"I didn't. You're both just late."

    "S-Sorry about that. I was waiting for Cassidy at the train station, but she apparently got off at the wrong station a couple times."

A couple times?

"Urf. I even left an hour early just to avoid being late."

Well... Some of the train stations can be a bit confusing. I'll give her that.

"But we're here now and that's all that matters! Shall we head on in?"

    "Yes!"

    The two turned to walk in but stopped when they noticed I hadn't moved from my spot.

"Err, sir? Is something wrong?"

"Y-Yeah. I, umm... also invited somebody."

    "..."

    Like an eel, Shawn slithered over to where I was standing and whispered into my ear.

"Is it Hirano-san?"

"..."

"I knew it! Sir. I am so glad that you finally took the initiative. But even then. I'm impressed that-."

    "W-Wait. Shawn. It's not Hirano-san."

"Huh? So it's a guy? But I thought I was the only other person you talked to."

"Y-Yeah. You are."

    "Then who could you have asked?"

    Shawn began to think as Cassidy walked over.

"Did he say?"

"No. All he told me was that he asked somebody out."

    "Oh! Could it be one of his friends?"

"Probably. Maybe somebody he kept secret from me. For now, let's wait. Since I'm curious."

    "Got it!"
