    Did Okasawa... like the gift? That was the question I kept asking myself after giving her the wrapped-up roll. For the roll, it was takuan wrapped in fine linens of kimchi. If only I was able to find her during lunch period and see how she reacts. But then again... That kind of gift, I'll throw out thinking it's a prank. If she actually throws it out, I won't blame her at all.

"..."

But I have to worry about that later. The whole ordeal with Okasawa was now mostly done and over with. Now, I have to think about Shawn and his problem. When I saw him today in science, it was like he did a complete 180. Quiet. Unresponsive. I tried to say 'what's up' to him, but his response was a simple 'sup.' No smile. No emotion. Nothing. He didn't even look at me when he said that. Because of that, I decided to just leave him alone until lunch. Which we were now ten minutes in. Did he go back home?

*Shf. Shf.*

Try not to dwell on it. I unwrapped my lunch and almost threw up at the sight of it. Takuan... with a side of kimchi. There was nothing filling in there. Just literally five slices of takuan with a tiny pile of kimchi. Can lunch get any worse than this? I don't think I'll even have the energy to run in gym next period.

*Crunch. Crunch.*

He's still not showing up. I'm starting to think Shawn actually did go home. If he did, I'd have to text him later. See how he's doing.

*Tmp...*

"...?"

    *Tmp...*

    Hmm? Do I detect somebody approaching my table? Probably someone who needs a chair for their large group of friends. But... Hmph! If you think I'll just give up my seat like any other loner, you're sadly mistaken! So leave before I-!

    "Y-Yo."

    "...!"

    Shawn?

    "You actually stayed."

    Oh, umm. Gotta sound professional.

    "Well, of course, I did. You did message me after a-."

    I stopped. Why? Because there was somebody standing right next to him. I couldn't tell who it was, but... Whoever it was, damn she's pretty!

     "A-Ahem. You see, sir. The reason I wanted to see you at lunch today was... because I wanted to introduce you."

    Introduce?

    "H-Hello."

    "...!"

    A foreign accent? Wait! That's-!

    "Yeah, umm. This is Cassidy. My... girlfriend..."

    "..."

    *Kaboom!*

    G-G-G-G-G-G-Girlfriend?!

    "Shawn! I just-! How did-?!"

"H-Hey. Calm down, sir. I'll tell you everything from the top."

    *Tmp... Tmp...*

    "H-Hey, Cassidy. Did you wait long?"

    "?! Oh. Shawn. No, I didn't. I actually just got here."

"Oh, really? Thank goodness."

*Tmp...*

"So... Umm... Well, I don't like it when people beat around the bush, so... D-Do you have an answer for me?"

"...Yes. I do."
