A few days later...
Knock
Hyewon stood outside Chaewon's room and patiently waited as she roamed her eyes around the dorm.
She rubbed her thighs out of nervousness when she heard the beeping sound, followed by the door swinging open.
Chaewon immediately closed the door when saw who was standing outside. "Go away." Hyewon pressed her lips together and knocked again.
She opened the door and stared at her, visibly irritated by the older girl's presence outside her room.
"I told you to stop bothering me." Her grip on the doorknob tightened when she saw how Hyewon wasn't budging an inch.
"I'm here to help you." she gently told the younger girl who elicited a deep frown through her forehead.
"I don't need your help." she closed the door but Hyewon placed her hand on it to prevent her from closing it.
"I'll stop bothering you if you let me help you." the older pushed the door open and voluntarily walked in, shutting the door behind her.
"Will you quit staring?" she asked Chaewon who snapped back to reality and saw Hyewon sitting down on the bed, crossing her legs on top.
"What do you want me to do?" the younger let out a silent sigh and just decided to accept the favour no matter how much she hates it since she needs to submit this assignment soon.
She went to her study table and prepped her things, grabbing her sketchbook and a pencil because that's all she needs.
She then sat down on the bed, a metre away from Hyewon. "Do you have to sit that far away?" Chaewon blinked a couple of times and moved a little closer, putting a knee up and positioning her sketchbook on it.
She glanced at Hyewon. "No pose, no nothing?" she asked while the younger shook her head.
"Just sit still and look at me." Chaewon took a small pillow and threw it to her as Hyewon turned and faced her, doing what she told her to do.
She sat comfortably and just made use of this opportunity to stare at Chaewon who glances up every now and then, hand busy sketching skillfully.
Hyewon found herself drowning within the depths of her features, how her lips pucker when she's concentrating.
With her looking up, gaze meeting, it felt as if someone dumped a whole waterfall of butterflies into her system, hearing her raging heart banging against her chest, too hard, too loudly.
Suddenly, Chaewon stopped drawing and looked at Hyewon before shifting backwards, leaning against the pillows.
"Can you come here?" The older crawled in front of her as Chaewon leaned back comfortably.
"Come closer," she asked while Hyewon inched forward using her butt, clenching down on her jaw.
"Closer."
The older suppressed the internal burn within her and moved forward, knees touching hers.
Chaewon looked up with an expressionless face, taking note of her facial features before looking back at her sketchbook.
"I might take a while," she told Hyewon who nodded.
"Take as long as you need."
An almost unseen curve escaped Chaewon's lips, going out of notice by Hyewon who was distracted by how close they were sitting.
