Bucky's POV - Same Day

I didn't know Jonothan had asked Georgia out, Georgia didn't tell me much about Jonothan besides him being a good, young guy, I couldn't believe that she wanted to go out with him its not like he was exactly perfect was he???

"you haven't said a word since Georgia left" Steve said kicking his feet up on the table, it had been an hour or two and Steve and I had just been sitting at the table both watching the TV.

"There isn't much to talk about besides the party which I paid no mind to" I said "come on Buck you act like we don't know each other" he was right, just like the party I paid no mind to him or his existence not because I didn't care but because I was thinking of his sister.

I was thinking about how I could have taken her out instead of him, how he'd be sitting in front of her making her laugh and it wasn't me. I could tear him into two if I really wanted to but I didn't want her to hate me, I couldn't do that.

"you need a date" Steve says "that's cheap coming from you" I snicker, Steve hasn't been on a date for years, "that is because Natasha and I are pretty official" he says which was right, him and Nat had been together for about a year now "yet I don't see any dates?" I ask and Steve shakes his head.

"the missions we do together are our dates" Steve chuckles, odd, it's unique but odd "so should I set you up" "no Steve I don't need a love life" I roll my eyes "you don't have one" he says.

"Thanks for the support Steve I will be working out in a gym that we have" I stand up walking off towards the gym. Taking my shirt off standing in front of the punching bag imagining it was 'JoNOtHaN'

"he's a great guy" I mock Georgia from last night hitting the punching bag, letting off steam was my forte everyone knew I was good at doing it whether It was in a workout or on real people in a mission.

My phone started ringing within fifteen minutes of my workout and I stop to let it ring for a bit before walking over to it and answering "Bucky?" her voice "Yes Gem?" I answered putting the phone on speaker "Jonothan gave me a bracelet and ditched me, I'm at a café but I don't know my way back" and there it was the good guy act.

"I'm on my way doll just give me ten minutes or so" I say "yeah ok" she sounded really bummed out, that's why I never trust anyone with her.

I walk out to the teleport thing putting on my shirt "where are you going you haven't been working out for an hour" Steve asks "you know the guy you said was good and that took her out on a date yeah well he just left" I say wiping the sweat off my forehead and before Steve could say a word I left.

There were cleaners everywhere cleaning up the mess everyone left from last night, I had a motorcycle in the garage of the tower for whenever I visited and went for late-night rides.

I drove around NYC looking for her, passed four cafés and couldn't find her until I reached the fifth one. I saw her sitting at the table along with the bracelet broken on the table, I park out the front and walked inside the café and her eyes instantly meet mine.

She stands up walking towards me grabbing my hand and leading me out covering her face in embarrassment "I should have listened I'm so fucking stupid" were the first words that came out of her mouth "oh come on doll you're just misled" I say trying to comfort her but instead made her laugh and sound more upset.

I give her the spare helmet and we get on the bike and I take her to an ice-cream parlour "so where did he go?" I ask her handing the cash to the ice cream lady "to his girlfriend" I fucking knew it was all a good guy act.

Steve and Georgia were always gullible when it came to facades but then again they were the master of facades themselves having to go undercover for years. I'm sure she will get over him in no time so I'll give him a quick visit tonight, a person like him is easy to find.

"what a dick" I roll my eyes sarcastically and she hits my left arm wincing in pain "Gem you know not to hit that arm" I say turning around and she hits my other arm, I hand her a chocolate double scoop ice cream and grabbing my own chocolate double-scoop.

"I am so stupid" she says sitting on my bike as I lean against a tree "no no you aren't even I couldn't tell" of course I could but comforting her was hard "I know you are just saying that to comfort me, Buck" she always could tell the difference from when I was telling the truth.

She sniffles a bit and I couldn't tell if she was crying or if it was her allergies "you forgot your hayfever meds" I say to her and she looks up "yeah I did" she chuckles "you also forgot your watch" I say noticing her left wrist was bare.

Her left wrist was never bare so she obviously didn't get much sleep last night but I'd never comment on her sleep schedule because that usually gives me 'the look' "let's go to the park and watch little kids fall off the swing" I say and she nods vigorously.

We arrive at the park and she gets off the bike and sits on the grass and I sit next to her "so, you have a mission tomorrow right?" I ask her and she nods slowly "oh shoot I almost forgot, Steve can't make it since he and Nat have a mission date tomorrow so I thought maybe you could come because I don't want Tony" She asked "of course" I nod.

"You don't have to come-" "If I didn't want to come I would say no" I cut her off, she was always so insecure when it came to asking me stuff it has always been like that. A few kids fall off causing her to laugh with her teeth which was always good.

"it's getting late" I say standing up dusting my pants off, I really wanted to go because everyone was staring at my arm since I forgot to leave without a jacket "did I mention that you were sweating when you picked me up" she says changing the subject "I was working out" I say standing in front of her.

"explains it" she says and I grab her hand pulling her up as she starts dusting the grass off her "get my back" she says "shimmy it off" I say "shimmy it off? no help me" she says and I roll my eyes getting the grass out of her hair and then her back.

Handing her the helmet she snickers "you still insecure about people staring at your arm?"
of course, she knew my reason for leaving "yeah I forgot my glove and jacket" I never usually forgot it but for her, I'd always forget especially if she was upset.

My arm out in public caused major anxiety for me, it was the eyes constantly looking at me as if I were different which I was but they didn't need to point it out. She knew it was a big deal for me to leave without a jacket.

"well thank you for coming despite anxiety" I never felt it with her though because I was too invested in our conversations.
