***Mature chapter **
I decided to put on my bikini and venture out to explore the hotel. The guys all changed and headed to the beach while I was eager to find the pool. I followed the signs and eventually ended up at the giant swimming area. There was a massive swimming pool that resembled a very large three-leaf clover. The area where the stem of the clover would be was shallow and had a water bar that served all sides of the pools.
The seating area had lounging chairs that were either one, two, or three seats. Then they had covered cabanas with four wooden posts and thick flowy curtains, with loungers inside. The hotel was incredibly beautiful and I mentally thanked Kellan for planning this for me.
The swimming area was, surprisingly, not packed full of people, but glancing over to the beach I could see why. The crowded beach lay just a short walk off the pool area. The saltwater in the air smelled amazing but I cringed thinking of sand stuck between my toes. I shook off the gross feeling that thought gave me and made my way over to the bar. After ordering my drink I waded out of the water to find a lounge chair to lay in and get drunk under the heat of the Miami sun.
Whatever fruity drink I had ordered was strong but so good and I finished it quickly. A beautiful girl in a very small bikini walked past my lounger then stopped right next to me, grabbed my glass, and sat down another glass of the same drink. I must have had a confused look on my face because before walking off she said " bottomless drinks come with your stay." I thanked her and started on my second. By the middle of that drink and the sun baking my slightly tan skin, my head was feeling clear of thought and my body was feeling tingly. I suddenly felt a shadow pass over my warm skin and I frowned. I opened my eyes to see Milo standing at the end of my lounger and my body filled with heat for a different reason than the sun.
" You're blocking my sun," I told him after clearing my throat so that I could convey annoyance instead of the need that was swirling in my blood.
He chuckled as he grabbed the chair next to mine and pulled it closer to me.
" Why aren't you with the guys at the beach? I questioned
" Kellan asked me to come to give you some company." He told me while staring out across the water. Bursting my bubble of thinking that he came of his own free will to spend time with me. " he knows I can't stand the beach." He finished
I nodded, unsure of what to say. We sat in silence for a few minutes before he sat up and turned his body to face me. About the same time, the same beautiful waitress came back by, setting down another of my drinks before turning to Milo and plastering a giant smile on her face. Her attraction to him was blatantly obvious.
" Well, hello handsome" she cooed," you look hot, can I get you a drink to cool you off?" The amount of confidence this girl had was astounding, she didn't know we weren't together. Finally, after a few seconds of silence, I looked over at Milo. I was shocked when our eyes met, realizing he hadn't even paid attention to what the girl had said to him. I opened my lips to repeat her question on a drink choice when he responded to her while never taking his eyes off of me.
" Nah I'm good, we were just heading to the bar in the pool."
The girl's face dropped into a pout and she made a small whiney noise.
" Ok well if you change your mind, just let me know. I'll be around, it shouldn't be hard to spot me." She told him before walking away. I chuckled and shook my head.
" What's funny?" Milo asked
" That girl."
" Who?" He asked, looking around genuinely curious.
