The sun began to set a few hours later and Milo woke me up to head back to the room. The guys had just come back from the beach and had already decided on a club to spend the evening at. I spent an hour getting ready. I decided to wear my favorite outfit out of what I had bought for the trip. A black lace bodysuit that was sheer everywhere except my breasts, a pair of fitted light wash ripped jeans, and black strappy heeled sandals. I felt sexy for the first time In years. I smiled at myself in the mirror before walking out of my room to leave for the club.

Some of the guys had already ordered an Uber and left for the club. It was just me, Kellan, Milo, and 2 of their friends tailing half an hour behind. When I walked out of my room everyone turned and looked at me making me incredibly self-conscious. Kellan just winked at me then went back to talking to the guys but Milo's eyes lingered. They drifted down my frame and back up again slowly and all I felt was the heat of his gaze. We headed down to the black SUV the Uber driver picked us up in. Kellan sat in the front seat, their friends sat in the middle seats and Milo somehow managed to end up in the third row next to me.

The closeness we shared in the backseat made my entire body hum with energy. Milo's jean-covered thigh rested against mine and I didn't dare move away. I folded my arms across my lap letting my hands dangle at my sides. It wasn't long after we pulled out of the parking lot that I felt Milo's hand softly graze mine. I looked over at him to see the corner of his lip turned up in a smirk. He gently grazed my fingers again and this time grabbed my pinky with his pointer finger and held onto it. I couldn't help the smile that formed so I used my unattached hand to move my hair and try to block the smile Milo had formed on my lips. The ride was uneventful except for Milo softly rubbing circles on my pinky with his thumb while he held it. The attention he poured on me was so foreign to me and it was almost impossible to not get excited over the smallest things.

We arrived at the club and climbed out of the SUV. Loud pulsing music poured out into the street and vibrated through my chest. It wasn't long until we made it through the door and made our way through the crowd of people. I was pushed in between people but loved the energy that raged through the crowd. Milo was in front of me and without looking reached behind me and grabbed my hand, protectively pulling me along with him.

We eventually made it to the bar and ordered a couple of shots of tequila. I downed two, back to back, before I felt a light buzz coursing beneath my skin again, the kind only alcohol can provide. Kellan had met a few of their friends who had arrived earlier. They had apparently purchased a VIP room for the evening. We headed into the crowd once more and arrived at the VIP rooms.

Pushing back a heavy black velvet curtain, the room opened up to a small lounge that overlooked the dance floor. The room had three large velvet couches and low glass tables with buckets of ice sitting on them. Kellan's friends quickly plopped down on the couches and placed drink orders with the bartender waiting by the curtains. I was overwhelmed. I'd never been to a club like this before, there were so many people and it was so incredibly loud. But It sent a thrill through me. I enjoyed this life that was so different from the one that I left back home.I ordered a few more shots and finally started to relax.

" Happy birthday ELLIE!" Kellan tried to scream above the music, " enjoy your night!"

I smiled and rolled my eyes. My poor brother was already so drunk that he was a day early on the birthday wish. But I was barreling towards the same level as earlier in the day right there with him. The shots kept coming and I drank everyone that was handed to me. I couldn't stop my body from moving to the music, not that I wanted to. I closed my eyes and just felt in the moment. A hand lightly rested on my lower back and I looked up through hooded eyes. Milo stood in front of me with that amazing smile on his face and the sight of him had my heart began to hammer in my chest.

" Hi," I breathed and his smile grew.

" Hi. Come dance and forget the world for a little bit." He laced his fingers through mine and pulled me through the curtains towards the dance floor.

I glanced around to see if any of the bodies around us belonged to anyone from our group. To my delight there was no one that I knew around me except for Milo who stood in front of me with one hand, possessively clutching my hip. The music, the alcohol, and Milo so close to me, gave me a boldness that I didn't know I had. I'd miss this when I went back home, this friendship we'd formed, where just the closeness felt amazing. everything about spending time with Milo was freeing. I didn't think about the things I had to deal with at home or how shitty I'd let my life get. I didn't think about how I felt like I had disappointed Kellan. I just lived in the moment. That scared me more than anything, feeling like I was actually living. I'd spent so much of my life not living up to my potential and just having a taste made me feel like I'd already wasted so much time. So,  I just smiled up at him, enjoying this moment and thankful for the freedom.

We danced for hours. occasionally we'd stop to go get more drinks but mainly we stayed practically glued together dancing. Before I knew it, it was 3 in the morning. I hadn't slowed down at all and had subsequently burned off a good amount of my alcohol, to the point I had a small buzz and felt amazing. I was certain that I'd wake up with a wonderful hangover though. The group had gathered outside in the warm early morning air before calling an Uber. On the ride home, Milo's fingers danced over my sweat-covered thighs and I giggled more than was necessary at everything everyone said. I felt like someone else, living a completely different life and I loved the feeling of it. I wanted more of this feeling.

The guys quickly went to their own rooms after walking into the suite, passing out for hours, I was sure. Kellan stopped before heading into his to grab me into a hug.

" Did you have fun tonight?" he asked, smelling like pure alcohol.

"I really did, thank you so much for this Kellan, honestly."

" no problem." was all he said. Then he released me from the hug, kissed the air in my direction, and left for his room.
