Draco
4:10 amPotter and I had soon left the office, heading to our own rooms to back for our small, short trip. I packed one pair of night clothes and got changed into ones that would be suitable to wear out, then saved the rest of my back for my money and food from the kitchens.
I had arrived at the fruit basket painting at the same time as Potter. he was already tickling the pear as I got there, so we both entered with no problem. As I expected, all of the house eleven cheered and raced over to crowd Potter, avoiding me as a whole until I spoke up.
"We both need food to last us a train ride back to london." The elves turned to me, and hesitantly nodded. That blasted elf, Dobby, must of squealed a nasty bit to these.
"You could of been a bit nicer." Potter face me a nasty look, and I retured one, making him cringe.
"You don't get anywhere in life by being nice, Potter. our time is limited, and I won't be caught dead because of some elves mobbing you." I scoffed, turning on my heel and leaving the kitchen with him as soon as the elves had provided us with packaged meals. The train will be leaving in 30 minutes according to McGonagall.
"We better hurry down to the platform. it's a bit of a walk, and it will be leaving soon." Potter was rushing me, and on one side, I appreciated it, but on the other....running through the castle and down to the platform seemed tiring. But it had to be done
"Right...off we go then." I huffed.
The walk down wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be, but I was still in a cold sweat as we got there. The train was just starting up as we arrived, so we boarded quickly, cramming ourselves in one of the small rooms in the long corridor. the sears were bug enough to where we could both stretch out for the ride.
"so..." I looked up as Potter started speaking. "Make sure you don't wonder too far from me, alright? I know my way around. you do not, do you understand that?" I nodded, rolling my eyes as he sent an odd smile in my direction.
"I dont need you babying me, Potter. I'm not an idiot " I groaned, my hands stuffing into my hair. I hadn't had time to comb or gell it, so it was currently a mess. I would say the same about Potters, but his is always a rats nest...
"I'm just making sure you understand." He sighed. "Try not to make it too obvious that you aren't from that world. people will stare, and it's embarrassing." I cringed at his words. Me? embarrassing? I'm offended by his judgment of such a situation. He would be embarrassed of curiosity earning a few looks? Honestly...how rude!
"If you say so." I looked away, now staring forward at the glass door and windows. It was odd sitting here with Potter. The entire train was empty. it was only me and him, and it felt...peaceful, in a way. There was no bickering. no dobbing. no yelling or swearing. Sitting in silence for a few hours was something I needed. Potter didn't talk to me unless I talked to him.
Maybe this end day won't be as horrible as I thought.
