Draco

"Why are there so many muggles desperate to get up on that stage to sing?" I looked over at Harry, who was taking a long sip from the fruity drink he got at the bar.

"Well, it's their last day alive. if anything, embarrassing themselves with their favorite song in front of hundreds of people would be a good way to end your day, don't you think?" He grinned as we looked towards the stage. There were two boys up there currently singing "American Pie" as Harry explained. They were a bit off-key, but it was enjoyable non the less.

"I don't think I would have the stomach for that kind of thing. I would be more fit for dancing. I can waltz just fine." I looked at Harry, who was snickering to himself. "What's so funny, Potter?"

"Oh, nothing. nothing. I can fully imagine you being an amazing dancer, Draco. But waltzing? This is a nightclub, not a pure-blood ball." He chuckled outwardly, covering his mouth when a woman glanced at him.

"Well, I can do more than waltz. I took dance classes when I was young, did you know that?"

"What was it? Ballet?" I nodded.

"Ballet and a few other styles. I grew out of that when I got my letter to Hogwarts though." I sighed, resting my elbows on the table. I rested my cheek on the palm of one of my hands. Harry stood up, and my eyes followed his movements. His hand reached for mine, and I moved back slightly. "What is it, Potter?"

"Will you ease up?! I'm not trying to kill you, for merlin's sake." I rolled my eyes. "Take my hand. Let's dance together."

"Me? Dancing with You? what are you trying to pull?" He looked almost offended when I asked.

"Nothing! just- You know what, never mind. forget I said anything." He said quickly, but I stood up as well.

"I'm just teasing, Potter. Ease up. however, if you embarrass me on that dance floor, you can bet your life you'll have a fist in your face." I put my hands on his shoulders, pushing him out to the floor where all the other muggles danced around together. some were dancing in a dirty way, while others slow danced together, or danced alone. It was odd to see these kinds of people having so much fun. Almost all of them are deckers, so you wouldn't expect so much...what's the word? Joy?

This place made me nervous, but I took Harry's hand anyway.

The song being sung currently was oddly long..it had been six minutes since the boys had gone up there, and they were still singing. some parts were upbeat, while others were slow and sad. I moved with Harry to the tempo of each beat.

he wasn't a very good dancer...but that was alright. It didn't have to be perfect- I didn't want it to be.

I know how that sounds. Draco Malfoy, dancing with a Half-Blood Harry Potter. Perfection wasn't in mind. I just wanted to enjoy myself- I wanted Harry to enjoy himself. This was a moment we wouldn't get to relive, and that killed my mood...

I felt Harry's head weigh down on my shoulder, his hands becoming loose on my waist. The song was ending, and we were left in a slow sway. I couldn't tell what he was feeling, and it messed with me a little. His breathing was slow, but his skin was warm. His body was tense and uncoordinated, but his mind seemed to be heavily crowded with...well, I'm not sure, but whatever it was...

"Draco?" I snapped out of my clouded mindset, looking down slightly at Harry. He wasn't too much shorter..maybe a few inches? I noticed I was still holding onto him, so I let go and backed off. The song had ended.

"Sorry. I got my head stuck in the clouds for a moment." I laughed nervously, exchanging an awkward grin. Harry nodded, already sitting back down at our table, taking another long sip of his drink.

My skin felt clammy, and I was sweating.

What's wrong with me?
