Hermione Granger
7:10 am.

Hermione did not get a letter from death-cast, since she was not dying today.

Hermione woke suddenly from the rude pounding on the girl's dormitory door. She heard Ron's urgent voice from the other side, screaming for her to wake up and come down. It made her groan as she rubbed her eyes with the balls of her hands, smacking her cheeks so she would wake up fully.

She had a recent habit of sleeping in on weekends.

"Hermione!" Ron called again, making her flinch as she threw her feet over the side of her bed, slowly shuffling out of the dormitory and to the door, where Ron was.

"Honestly, Ron, what could be so important that-" Hermione hesitated, seeing Ron's face red, and his eyes puffy. "What's the matter?" She said urgently, taking him over to the maroon sofa in the middle of the common room. The boy was shaking, and his cheeks were streaked red from his tears. "Ronald?" Hermione persisted.

Ron took a shakey hand, sliding a small envelope from his robes and handing it to Hermione, who looked at it questionably.

"What is this?" She started to say, but Ron just waved his hand and pointed to it.

"Jus' read it, 'mione." His voice cracked. Hermione nodded, unfolding the letter. It looked Typed out, but it was just incredibly neat print writing.

'We here at Death-Cast regret to inform you of the loss of Harry J. Potter.
We were informed that you, Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Granger, were both on an inheritance Will that was written and submitted a year ago. For you, this means that the selected Items that Mr. Potter has requested will be sent to your individual residents, where you may collect them upon your return from Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft, and wizardry.
You have our condolences.

Jeramy, From Death-Cast'

Hermione read the letter over multiple times, her Expression becoming more shocked each time.

"Is this real?" She asked, glancing over to Ron, who was no longer crying. Instead, he was staring at the fire, a strong frown on his face. He nodded slowly, pointing to the black seal on the note. "Why wouldn't he tell us?! If...if he got the owl..."

"I don't know...His voice cracked again, and he groaned, jabbing the balls of his hands onto his eyes to stop himself from crying again. In his mind, he had to stop for Hermione's sake. "Professor McGonagall gave me the letter this morning, said it was urgent." He huffed. "I thought Harry was just doing something for school...Im so dumb, I should have stayed up with him the other night."

Hermione rubbed circles on his back, setting the letter down on her knee. "He was stressed, wasn't he? But he said it was because of his failing grades- I don't think he had gotten his letter yet." She shook her head, now taking Ron's hand in hers. "But...He probably left without a note so he wouldn't worry us- Though that didn't go accordingly, obviously." She sighed. Ron hiccuped, groaning again.

"I don' know what to do 'mione..." He said dryly, his throat croaking.

"Be happy for him." She squeezed his hand. "I'm sure McGonagall sent him off to live a great last day, don't you think?" Ron only hummed, his arm wrapping around Hermione's Shoulders.

"First Fred, now Harry." Ron choked, shaking against Hermione's trembling body. "Hermione, this hurts."

"I know, Ron." She said softly, her voice low. She rubbed circles on his back, his head dipping to the crook in her neck. He shook again, sobbing quietly.
