one - deep rooted hatred

——

ariana grande absolutely despised y/n malarky. she had hated her since kindergarten when the youngest malarky, then still in her male presenting body, snapped every single one of ariana's crayons in half. ariana cried, heartbroken, and y/n's rude ass sat and laughed. ariana had sworn to never like that stupid boy.

they had practically grown up together, their families being pretty close to one another. the two girls were neighbors and their families often had dinners together. ariana hated those dinners just as much as she hated y/n malarky. her mother would make her dress up and y/n would always make some stupid comment about how pretty she looked.

ariana's hatred for y/n grew in their sophomore year when y/n got a girlfriend. ariana didn't know why it made her hate her more. maybe because y/n was actually happy and ariana wanted her to suffer—but i guess we'll never know.

despite her great disliking for the malarky girl, ariana had to admit the two girls looked really good together. y/n had pulled one of the hottest girls in school: ana valentina. ana was the girl that all the guys wanted and all the girls wanted to be. ariana wasn't going to lie, she was actually quite jealous of ana. she saw how amazingly y/n treated her, and ariana longed to be loved like that by someone, someday.

it pissed her off when they would have their conjoined family dinners and y/n would bring ana. she had to watch them be cute the whole time and ariana wanted to kill herself right in front of everybody.

she hated absolutely everything y/n did; from her stupid, cocky smile to the way she winked at ariana as she teased her relentlessly. y/n had once teased ariana about ariana having a supposed "crush" on y/n, and a few other people heard—making what y/n had said a widespread rumor. at one of the dinners, ariana cornered y/n and yelled at her to tell everyone she was solely joking. y/n yelled it at the top of her lungs at lunch the next day and people never said anything about it again.

but still, ariana grande absolutely fucking hated y/n malarky, and nothing would ever change that.
