I looked up from my book, breaking out of my very concentrated state as I heard someone playing the piano softly.

I looked around for the sound and to my surprise, it was coming from this room.

What-

I'm hearing things.

Wait.

He was playing the piano. I was so amazed by the books and interior design, I hadn't even noticed the grand piano by the window.

I watched as he played. The soft tune easing my mind.

He glanced at me and his lips tugged upwards.

"You play piano?" I asked, I didn't expect him to be the type. Then again, he never failed to surprise me.

He nodded, "Are you impressed with me yet?"

"Not yet." I lied. I was in fact very much impressed with him.

He gestured for me to come sit beside him. I went over and sat next to him on the bench.

My hands found the keys and I copied the song he was playing earlier. He didn't seem surprised by this.

Strange. But not.

"I used to take lessons when I was little. My mom made me but I ended up liking it. Haven't played in a while though." I rambled.

"Why's that?" he asked.

"I sort of lost that passion over time."

The truth is, my mother sold our piano for money. At the time, we really needed it, I didn't mind. Yes, I know, I could've still taken lessons but we didn't have the money for that either.

Sure, I loved playing but someone else could have the chance to play, I was fine with that. And it was either that or no food.

"I doubt that." he said.

"My mother sold ours."

"Well now this ones all yours." I smiled.

"Thank you. It's so pretty." Like me.

We continued playing together. The soft tune flowing through the room in sync.

We were having our own little concert in our own little world.

I was wrong, the night could only get more perfect.

"What level are you in?" I asked randomly, we were practicing random songs we knew.

"I stopped taking lessons a while ago but I got up to ten." I groaned.

"I only got up to eight!" he laughed.

"It's never too late." I rolled my eyes and carried on playing, making mistakes here and there, "I could teach you."

My face heated up at his words.

"I'm good, thank you."

"If you change your mind, let me know."

"I won't."

He abruptly stood up. I was confused for a second then, he extended his hand towards me.

"May I have this dance M'lady?" There was no music.

I laughed and nodded, placing my hand in his. He pulled me to him, his other hand on my waist. He spun me around the room.

I felt like we were the main characters in a romance movie.
