How remarkable is it that we can mean the world to someone,

And yet in the perspective of the Universe,

We are but a tiny speck floating in time and space,

That could be erased in the blink of an eye,

And the Universe would continue on unscathed?

I do not know the secrets of the Universe,

Of the moons and stars and galaxies within her,

But I know a measly being could never hold all of that with two hands and a beating heart.

I do know it would be too much weight to carry on breakable shoulders to know what your life will spiral out to when you become just a small clump of atoms floating into the sky,

And I do know we would never sleep if those things were accessible to us.

How beautiful the Universe's mystery is,

How she holds these secrets she knows would only shatter us.

How strong she must be to love us the way she does.
