I'm not sure choosing life over death is the right decision,
But it is the one I've landed on,
And I've become more stubborn over the years.
Is that growth or avoidance? I don't know,
Maybe both,
But maybe avoiding the thoughts of being embraced in light before the world goes black,
Cuts like a record scratch on a track that's too long,
Is the way you have to cope to continue breathing.
