the next morning, katsuki had awoken to feel a heavy warmth close to his body. his brain was still so heavy with sleep, foggy as he felt himself falling back to sleep against the warmth.

"mmm.. i had the most vivid dream.." he whispered into the air, his voice heavy with sleep as he held the warmth closer.

"and that was?" he heard a familiar voice speak. "that i met the king... - wait." katsuki jolted, his eyes snapping open to be met with the sight of bright green eyes and a freckled face.

that's when katsuki knew what the warmth he was feeling was. he was curled up tightly against izuku, their limbs slightly intertwined.

the blond gasped, quickly shuffling away until he was at the edge of the bed where he tried to take a step to get off. though, he was stopped once a sharp pain from his foot shot all of the way up his back, causing him to yelp before falling onto the floor with a thud.

izuku's eyes widened, he quickly shuffled over to the edge where katsuki had fallen before holding a hand out to him. "no." katsuki hissed sharply as his feet were still throbbing.

the sores seemed to have gotten worse overnight, it now hurt him to walk as they were wrapped in bandages. "hey, don't be like that. you came over to me in the middle of the night and who was i to deny you?" izuku hummed, now getting off of the bed completely.

"i don't know! just - shut up." katsuki sighed with defeat as he finally accepted izuku's hand, expecting to be stood up.

what he didn't expect was for izuku to lift him up, his feet never touching the floor as he was then sat onto the bed. needless to say, his face was a deep shade of pink by the end of it.

"you're treating me like a baby!" katsuki shouted, the tips of his ears bright red. "how so? if your feet hurt to walk, then i won't allow you to use them until they're healed. also, you're as light as a feather." izuku hummed.

"but i can take care of myself, you know." katsuki spoke a bit softer this time. "yes, but why can't you just give me this one opportunity to take care of you?" the green haired of the two questioned.

the air felt a bit thick as katsuki didn't know what to say. he didn't need izuku's help or his aid. he could easily up and walk out of the palace if that was what he pleased. no matter how hurt he was, he was not helpless.

though, he didn't quite feel helpless in front of izuku. he felt good in an odd way, as if izuku was somehow praising him through his actions.

that alone made him want to stay.

"okay, okay. no need to beg." katsuki scoffed, rolling his eyes at the eager male in front of him. izuku then giggled before beaming at the blond.

katsuki only clicked his teeth and rolled his eyes at izuku's stupid smile before they both heard a knock at the door.

"unlocked." izuku said. the door immediately opened to reveal a short young woman, her auburn hair cut to shoulder's length as she beamed at the two of them.

"hello midoriya! i see your guess is still here, hm?" she hummed, her tone bubbly. izuku only hummed before nodding.

"yes, uraraka. in fact, he will be staying here for a bit or as long as he pleases." izuku explained. ochako only smiled, greeting katsuki with a wave to which he waved back shyly.

"i've come to say that breakfast is in twenty minutes where you will be receiving your schedule." ochako explained as she looked down at her clipboard.

"oh! actually, you both will be receiving schedules. bakugou katsuki, is it?" ochako questioned, looking over to the blond.

the blond only nodded to which ochako beamed brightly at him. "alright then, see you!" she said happily before exiting the room as closing the door behind her.
