"knock knock," the softness of momo's voice could barely be heard on the opposite side of the door.

it was late in the morning, almost noon when she walked up to the king's door, knocking cautiously.

"tell her to stop coming to the door." katsuki hissed harshly, curling into himself as he leaned against the headboard of the bed. izuku gasped softly, "kacchan, don't be rude. i asked her to come." he smiled softly before getting up out of the bed.

"i don't care." katsuki responded simply.

izuku only giggled softly before opening the door only slightly, revealing the raven-haired girl.

"she's here." momo beamed softly, turning to reveal a woman with deep violet hair. izuku hummed, glancing at her quickly before waving kindly.

"my name is nemuri kayama, nice to be at your service, your highness." she bowed formally. "ah, thank you so much. it is nice to meet you miss kayama." izuku smiled brightly.

katsuki watched them from afar, he wasn't in earshot of the three, he didn't know what was going on. this fact alone frustrated him a bit. he wanted to at least know what they were talking about!

the blond shuffled over to the other side of the bed, groaning with soreness as he hadn't moved much since he came back.

"kayama has studied psychology alongside my mother. she's very well and may be of great use to help katsuki." momo explained. izuku nodded, "thank you so much."

momo hummed before making her way out, leaving izuku with nemuri.

"i have katsuki's report here, may i?" nemuri asked. izuku hesitated before nodding, "yes, but i have to do something first." he said softly before turning away, returning to katsuki.

"kacchan?" izuku hummed softly as he approached the blond. katsuki only stared into izuku's eyes suspiciously. "i'm going to go, okay?" he explained.

katsuki's eyes widened at this, "what?! why?" he panicked, scrambling to get out of the bed, only to be stopped by izuku.

"just for an hour. i'll be back, i promise. you won't be alone, you'll be with miss kayama." izuku explained. katsuki opened his mouth to protest once more before glancing over to the door to notice the woman. nemuri smiled brightly before waving, earning a scowl from katsuki.

"fine, leave." katsuki spoke his voice soft in an attempt to seem cold. he backed away from izuku, earning a hum from the taller male.

"i'll be back soon." izuku said before thanking nemuri once more and then disappearing down the hallway.

katsuki couldn't help the pit of intense anxiety that pooled at the base of his stomach. it made his hands tremble and his stomach twist as it threatened to reject whatever managed to settle in his stomach.

nemuri took note of katsuki's state for entering the room, closing the door behind herself as she approached katsuki. she then pulled two chairs from izuku's desk, gesturing for the blond to come over.

katsuki was cautious before deciding to come over anyway, a slight yet painful limp in his step was still present yet they both chose to ignore it.

once katsuki sat down, nemuri clicked her pen. "hello katsuki, how are you today?" she asked.

"don't talk to me."

"but i have to, you can't work this out alone." she explained.

"yes, i can. i'm fine, i've already worked things out."

"and how do you feel about your ability to work things out."

"amazing." katsuki responded dryly, rolling his eyes.

"ah, see. you told me how you feel and it was positive, that's nice to hear." nemuri beamed happily.

"ever heard of sarcasm, lady? if you want to know so bad, i feel like shit. the end." katsuki snapped.

nemuri only nodded, ignoring katsuki's harshness. "and why is that?"

katsuki took a deep breath, looking down at his hands as they began to tremble a bit more. "i-.. nothing, i don't know." he stopped.

"i can tell it's something. i won't tell anyone, not even midoriya. this is between you and i." nemuri explained.

"i don't care who you tell! i just can't, i-i cant, okay? if i could, i would! do you think i'm holding this in on purpose? i'm not! the very thought makes me sick to my stomach! i can't help it, i don't know why i'm like this!" katsuki shouted, tears now pricking the corners of his eyes.

"katsuki, katsuki.. breathe, it's okay. it's okay to feel this. you don't even have to tell anyone what happened, just how you feel about it and yourself." nemuri spoke softly. "and that's why we're here. im not here to push anything out of you."

katsuki only scoffed, rolling his eyes before wiping the tears away from his eyes hastily. "i don't care." he spoke softly.

"i just want this to go away... i want him to go away." katsuki begged, burying his face deep into his hands.

"it will, he's not a part of you, katsuki, what he's done does not make you." nemuri explained. katsuki hesitated before looking gazing back up at her, "who're you to tell me what i am?"

"someone who wants to help, honestly."

"you're being paid to do this."

"i offered to help at no cost, but the king has insisted on paying me."

"deku's an idiot."

"but he cares."

katsuki felt his heart flutter at this. though, these feelings immediately were taken over by feelings of embarrassment as he nearly expressed them in front of nemuri.

"i don't care. i'm my own person." he scowled. "..and i want to feel as if i am in control again. but now, i feel so helpless."

nemuri only hummed, knowing they were getting somewhere. as much as katsuki wanted to hide it, to protect himself from the pain of speaking about it, it was all coming out, slowly.

this was the first session after all, and katsuki was already able to speak about his pain.

nemuri nodded, "and you'll be able to feel that control very soon, katsuki." she began writing a few short notes onto the clipboard she had set on her lap.

"i can promise just that."
