Tord's POV

"Let me see the back of your neck," I gently ordered.

"What for?" He asked, eyes widening as he suddenly became wary of the injury he had gotten whilst hunting.

"I'm not gonna stab you or anything. I just wanna look at the wound." He covered the back of his neck with his hand, flinching at the contact. "You trust me, don't you?" He hesitantly nodded, slowly uncovering his wound and turning around to face the cave wall.

I leaned forward, gently stroking the scab-like wound on his neck. A hard metal bump protruded as I pressed down as softly as I could.

Pau tensed up in pain as a the bump began to vibrate softly, emitting a soft whirring noise throughout the cave.

At that moment, I instantly knew what it was. "Matt, take Elaine outside. Tom, Edd, hold him down. We need to get this thing out of him before he kills us all."

They all jumped into action as I pulled out my pocket knife. Pau was squirming and shouting obscenities that I've never heard him use before.

"Keep him steady. That's not him talking. That's the machine."

I dug my knee into the small of his back as I carefully made the incision. Blood slowly dripped from the cut as I dug my fingers into it, feeling around for the damning piece of metal.

"GET THE FUCK OFF OF ME BEFORE I RIP OUT YOUR OTHER EYE AND FEED IT TO YOUR BRAT OF A SISTER!! ONCE THE ARMY GETS THEIR HANDS ON YOU, THAT WILL BE HER LAST MEAL! ALL OF YOU MOTHERFUCKERS WILL BURN IN HELL LIKE THE REST OF THOSE CHILDREN LIKE HER!!" He started laughing maniacally.

I kept on working, not exactly pleased with what he had said about my sister. But this was someone in the red army most likely controlling him. Its no surprise that they're bashing her.

I chuckled at him. "Oh, please. You're just mad that she got away."

A hand reached out and grabbed his, soothingly stroking it to attempt to calm him down.

"Pau! I know you're in there, dammit! Fight this thing!" Pat had come out of his coma-like state and was weakly shouting at the man.

He looked over at the injured man, eyes lighting up in recognition. "Hey...you're that moron who pushed the brat out of the way...Got you good didn't I?"

"Wow! Good job buddy!" Edd feigned approval as he struggled to keep his side pinned to the ground. "You're not an amnesiac after all!"

"Oh yea, I remember everything. Even you throwing a bitch fit at my conscious host."

"Well you would too if one of your friends were accidentally stabbed."

"You know, a wise man once said, 'There are no accidents.'" He chuckled.

Edd's face went tomato red. "YOU WERE GONNA KILL US ALL WERENT YOU?! IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME." He seemed to push the man harder into the ground. "WELL GUESS WHAT, BITCH? YOU'RE DONE!" He hissed at him.

"How am I done? I haven't even started yet!" He taunted.

He was still laughing at Edd's temper tantrum, taunting him in every way possible. Edd finally gave up on throwing insults, so he shut his mouth, channeling his anger through holding him down.

His laughter subsided, tears falling from his face, as he started mumbling to himself. The mumbling got louder and accompanied with giggles every time he repeated what he said.
