Sophia talked to the healer privately in the corner of the room. Discussing the treatment plan and her daughter's past medical history. There sadly wasn't really a treatment plan for this though. They just had to monitor the cuts to make sure Mya didn't bleed out. Becoming a werewolf was incurable.

Lea and Fred sat on either side of Mya's bed, both of them still refusing to sleep at all. No matter how tempting it was, they just couldn't.

George had convinced Fred to wash up in the bathroom, helping Fred get all the blood off his hands. And even brought him a change of clothing.

Molly had decided that right now wasn't a good time for everyone to be here. So she had taken the rest of the lot home to give them space. They would come back to visit later.

Mya was still peacefully sleeping, they had given her a tonic to help her. This way, she didn't have to feel the pain of her body transitioning into something else.

Remus didn't know what to do, he stood at the end of her bed, just looking at her. Mya was such a beautiful girl, and now her body would be littered in those same ugly scars he had. Greyback had done worse to her than Remus had ever seen happen.

The heels from Sophia's boots clicked against the ground, causing Remus to look up at her. She gave him a signal to follow her out of the room. And with his head hung down, he did. Because she had every right to be mad at him. This was his fault, he was meant to care and look out for their daughter while she was here, and he failed.

They stopped outside Mya's room, Sophia turning around and crossing her arms over her chest. "Remus-"

"I'm so sorry," Remus rushed out, because he felt this need to say it over and over again. To apologize until he could not speak anymore. "I-I should have known that Greyback would try and hurt her. I knew some of the letters she sent me went missing, I should have protected her better. I should have made sure nothing could hurt her."

"Remus... I'm not mad at you," Sophia took a deep breath, trying to collect her thoughts. "What happened... this is exactly why I didn't want her being raised here. I wanted a place where I didn't have to fear her being a pawn in a war. I should have known though, that we could never escape that. But Remus, it was a full moon, you and I know that you couldn't have done anything. There were a least a dozen other wands in that house, but he caught her alone and attacked when her guard was down."

"I didn't want this for her," Remus sat down in one of the chairs, his body slumping into it. "To have to be what I am."

"I know you didn't," Sophia sat down next to him. "I know that Remus, that was your biggest fear when I was pregnant. But now the day has come, one that we both didn't want to happen. She's a werewolf, and we have two options as her parents."

"What's that?" Remus asked.

"One, we can tell her she's cursed and doomed to live a horrible life where she will be discriminated against," Sophia said. "Or, the option that I think will be much better, we love her for who she is. We tell her that this won't affect her, because she is a strong and determined girl who loves to fight the odds. We show her that she can be normal, and live a normal life."
