"No, no aboslutly fucking not!" Sirius scoffed, ripping the paper out of Remus's hand and waving it in the air. "You two are not registering Mya as a creature just so she can go back to school."

"Sirius we are her parents," Sophia gave him a hard glare. "That is our decision to make. And what would you like us to do? She's sixteen, she has to go to school."

"I'll be seventeen next week," Mya mumbled under her breath. For the most part, she was staying out of this fun conversation her now apparently four parents were discussing.

"I agree with Sirius," Tonks spoke more calmly than her distant cousin. "Marking Mya in this way could put an even bigger target on her back, especially with the times we are in."

"Thank you!" Sirius gestured to Tonks.

"Sophia is right though, what is the alternative then?" Remus shook his head before running a hand through his thinning hair. "The safest place for her is at Hogwarts, with Dumbledore. Voldemort will never try and enter the castle while Dumbledore is around."

Once again, Mya kept her mouth shut. But her leg started to anxiously bounce up and down.

Sirius slammed the paper down on the table, "Dumbledore isn't going to be able to protect her when Death Eaters start knocking on your door. Wake up, Remus! We all know it's only a matter of time before the Ministry falls into the hands of Voldemort. And then it won't even matter if she's at Hogwarts, she won't be safe anywhere."

"Enough!" Sophia snapped at him. "Sirius we appreciate your input in this discussion, but Remus and I are her parents. We are the ones making a decision on this."

"Yeah, well where was Remus's decision when you took Mya and just left? Or were you too busy screwing a new guy to even care about what loss he was going through?" Sirius might as well have thrown a knife straight into Sophia's heart with his world.

"Out!" Remus stood up from his chair at the table, pointing to the front door.

Sirius looked visibly hurt by this. He tried not to show it though. Instead, he picked up his leather jacket from the back of his chair and stormed towards the door. Mya jumped a bit with how loud it slammed shut.

"Remus..." Sophia trailed off, she felt quite guilty because Sirius was right. She hadn't even thought of Remus when she had the biggest decision in their daughter's life.

"No... I just," Remus took a deep breath. "I need a moment."

Remus left towards the bedrooms, this time when the door was shut it was much quieter. The three women sat around the table in silence for a moment. This must have brought something out of Sophia to have to sit with her thoughts here, so she quietly excused herself from the table heading towards her room. Mya saw her trying to wipe tears away from under her eyes.
