There was a gloomy haunting over the sky on what should have been a beautiful day.
Mya was never the one that was good on the dates of things. Lea knew that better than her. But she could tell that today was the day that everything would change. Harry had found out what Slughorn knew and was already heading out with Dumbledore.
She didn't feel the need to go to class today, even if it was the last day of finals. There was no point in even taking them, she wouldn't be allowed back after this year anyway. Lying about every full moon had been the hardest part. Since she was seventeen, Pomfrey didn't have to tell her parents anything. She helped Mya lie her way through each full moon.
And it was easy to do so when she was suffering from morning sickness left and right. She felt lied to in that aspect because it lasted all day sometimes.
Before she even realized it, there was a bump growing. A small one, but one day it just showed up. Making it feel more real than anything in her life. There was a baby inside of her and she couldn't talk to anyone about it.
She had been sitting in the little nock by her bed all day, watching the grey clouds move in.
Hermione walked into the dorm not surprised to see her sitting in the same place she had seen her when she left in the morning. "Hey, how are you feeling?"
"Fine," Mya mumbled.
"Well, you missed the charms exam," Hermione placed her bag on her bed. "I told Flitwick the full moon is next week and it's just hitting you harder than before."
"You don't have to lie for me," Mya smiled lightly, looking over at her.
"I wasn't lying, I just figured that's what it might be," Hermione walked over to Mya's bed, taking a seat on it to face her. "Mya what's going on? You haven't been yourself it's starting to worry me. Has something... did something happen?"
"Yeah," Mya nodded her head.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Hermione asked.
"No- yes... I don't know," Mya sighed.
"Do you want me to get Lea?" Hermione could tell that she needed to talk to someone. "I know we're not as close as the two of you are-"
"We're not friends anymore," Mya quickly spoke, looking back out the window. "I don't want to talk about it."
"Okay," Hermione didn't want to push her. "Um, do you want me to grab you dinner?"
"Don't bother," Mya told her.
Hermione's worry's didn't at all feel settled, if anything it felt worse. But she didn't know what to do when she didn't know what was going on. She sighed, standing up and leaving the room.
Mya didn't want to think about Lea and how her betrayal felt like the worst kind of heartbreak. She had known her for her whole life and had been the one person here that she could talk about everything with. And yet she chose her boyfriend over her best friend.
