Steve yawned softly, opening his eyes. He glanced around his room, eyes landing on the small alarm clock on his computer desk.

2:38 am

Steve sighed, sitting up. He looked over to the other side of the bed, expecting to see his boyfriend, Tony, curled up next to him.

But he wasn't there.

The sheets on his side if the bed looked like they hadn't been touched. Steve sighed again, knowing what Tony's absence meant.

He was in his lab.

Steve stayed in the Avengers's Tower, as did everyone, minus Thor. He went back to Asgard, wanting to keep the place in order. He has a room incase he wants to visit though.

The lab was located in the basement. The ground floor, or first floor, was the reception area and a small lobby for outsiders. The second floor was a living area for the Avengers. It had a kitchen and living room. The third and fourth floors were where the bedrooms were located. The fifth floor hadn't been arranged yet, and the roof had a helipad and an outdoor pool and bar. (A/N This is all a guess/headcannon for this oneshot and possibly more. If there us an accurate layout of the tower, please let me know. Otherwise, this is what I'll use :) )

Steve stood and grabbed a shirt from the back of his desk chair, sliding it on as he exited his room. He glanced around the hall, continuing to walk, and whispered, "Jarvis?"

The AI, knowing that people were asleep, lowered its volume, "Yes, Mr. Rogers?"

"Where's Tony at?"

"Mr. Stark currently seems to be in his lab."

"Thanks. Can you open the door once I get there."

"Of course, Mr. Rogers."

Steve made his was to the elevator, heading to the ground floor. Once he was there, he took the small stairway down to the basement, glancing at the walls. Once he reached the door to the lab, it opened. Steve quietly thanked Jarvis again before walking inside.

He looked around for Tony, almost missing him. The male had his head laid down on a desk next to one of his suit's helmets. He was asleep, screwdriver in hand and a half full coffee mug nearby.

Steve sighed softly, looking down at the other, "Tony? Are you awake?"

Tony didn't move nor speak, pretty much answering the question. Steve smiled softly, sliding his arms around Tony's waist. He picked the sleeping male up, letting Tony sleepily wrap his arms around Steve's neck.

He carried Tony into his bedroom, kicking the door shut behind him. Tony stirred when the door shit, the noise being louder than Steve had anticipated. Steve kissed Tony's head, whispering a quiet apology to the male.

Tony furrowed his brow, burying his face in Steve's neck for a second before looking back up, "Cap?"

"Yeah babe?" He set Tony down on the bed.

"I need to work."

"You need sleep. It's almost three in the morning. When was the last time you even slept?"

"A few days? It's not that bad."

Steve sighed, "Tony, that's so bad for you."

"I've done worse."

"You're going to sleep."

Tony huffed quietly, sitting up on the edge of the bed, "I'm not even tired."

"You were literally asleep at your desk."

Tony went silent, biting his lip, "..One more hour-"

"Nope."

Tony cursed quietly. He let out a short sigh, looking up at him, "What are you, my mom?"

Steve pursed his lips, "What if I stayed with you?"

Tony went silent again and looked at the ground. On one hand, he'd have to start his work later than he wanted, but on the other hand, he'd actually be able to sleep for longer than an hour without having a nightmare. Tony bit his lip, "...You'll stay all night?"

"All night and part of the morning if you want."

"..Fine, but you better not up and run as soon as I fall asleep."

"When have I done that?"

"Fair point." Tony shrugged.

Steve lightly shoved Tony back, "Stop being sassy and scooch over."

Tony moved to the other side of the bed, sliding under the covers. Steve laid next to him, kissing his head as Tony moved closer to him. He buried his face in Steve's chest, "This means nothing."

"No, everyone here definitely doesn't know that we've been dating for almost a year now."

"Damn that's coming up? Now I've gotta think about what to get you."

"You don't need to get me anything, you know my stance on gifts. How about you think about something like that in the morning?" Steve pulled him closer, letting a hand rest on Tony's hip.

"Fine, but you owe me." Tony wrapped his arms around the male's waist.

Steve smiled softly, looking down at Tony as the male, surprisingly, had quickly dozed off again.

He leaned down and kissed Tony's forehead, feeling himself drift off as well.

*small timeskip*

Steve yawned softly, awoken by Tony sitting up in the bed. He shifted slightly and pulled Tony back down. The male yelped quietly, "Steve, we've gotta get up."

"Who said?"

"Its 3pm. We slept for twelve hours."

"Oh shit-" Steve let go of the male and sat up.

The two stood, starting to get dressed for the day. Once Tony was dressed, he began to laugh quietly.

Steve slipped his shirt on and looked over, "What's funny?"

"I can"t believe you made me sleep for twelve whole hours without me waking up." Tony looked at the floor

"I can't believe YOU made ME sleep for twelve whole hours when I'm normally up at 6am every morning." Steve smiled lightly.

"Well, when we go to the kitchen, be prepared for teasing and interrogation, because I only ever slept this late if I had a..uh- date over the night before."

"I figured we'd get teased either way." Steve shrugged.

The two stepped out of the room and headed for the elevator. Tony pressed the button to go down and looked out the window. Since Tony's bedroom was on the fourth floor, the view was amazing during sunrise or sunset. However, at 3pm, it wasn't much of a sight to see.

Tony and Steve got into the elevator, heading down to the second floor. Tony glanced over, "I've been thinking about swapping the floors around. Not sure about an order yet."

"How about you leave it as it is so Thor isn't confused."

"Fair enough. I'd hate to be in a battle with him."

Steve nodded slightly, watching the elevator open, "You really couldn't win against him. He's a literal god."

The two continued to talk as they reached the kitchen, obvious to the stares they were getting. Eventually, Natasha cleared her throat, making the two look at her. She smirked, "You go easy on this one, Tony?"

"I mean, he can walk, so I guess."

"TONY." Steve looked at him, eyes wide.

"What? I'm just sayin'."
