This is basically Pepper's thoughts during and after Tony's death. She acted all calm and collected but you can see the heartbreak in her eyes. Also, I changed a bit of what happened in Endgame. Not enough to change the plot of the movie though. Just some small lines and actions.

Angst! Obviously lol

Pepper held her breath as she pulled Peter away from a barely alive Tony. She stared up as she crouched in front of him, "Hey.."

Tony perked up a bit, slowly turning his head to her, "Pep..hey..."

Pepper let him mumble for a few minutes before she shushed him, "Tony..its okay. We're all okay..you can rest now.."

At the simple offer, Tony's head fell backwards against the rock he was leaned against, his final breath leaving him. Peter had started to sob behind Pepper. She leaned over and kissed Tony's head before starting to break down herself.

What would happen to Morgan? She'd have to grow up without her father around. She'd always been a daddy's girl. What would happen to the both of them. Pepper was more than capable of paying the bills, but it's only a matter of time before she'd have to return to work to keep paying them.

These thoughts ran through her mind as her head was rested against Tony's. She felt a hand on her shoulder, turning to see Steve. He pulled her up, and Peter had wrapped her into a hug. The two both needed the comfort.

Oh god, and Peter. The poor boy had only just gotten to see Tony again after five years, and the sensation was taken away from him as quickly as it had arrived.

What would happen to Stark industries if Morgan didn't want to take over? Pepper and Happy would be too old to run the place. Maybe Peter could take over? What if HE didn't want to?

All of these thoughts consumed her mind for the next few days. On the day of Tony's funeral, when people had started to arrive to the Starks's cabin, she couldn't find the strength to stand and get the door.

Morgan had climbed out of her mother's arms to get it. Fury, unsurprisingly, was the last one to show up that day. He'd held up a flash drive, handing it to Pepper, "It's his final message, to both you and Morgan. Plug it into the laptop and it should play on its own."

Pepper weakly reached for her laptop, opening it up. She blogged the flashdrive in, and a hologram of Tony appeared.

As he spoke, Pepper could barely contain herself. She found it easier to do so when other people were around, but if it was her and Morgan, she was a wreck.

Morgan had curled into Pepper's waist as the hologram went towards them. Morgan didn't know about this kind of technology yet.

The hologram smiled, locking eyes with Morgan, "I love you 3000." It then looked at Pepper, "And I love you. Always have."

The hologram disappeared, leaving all eyes on Pepper and Morgan.

She took the small wreath that had been crafted out of Tony's old arc reactor and headed outside, hand in hand with her daughter. She slid the wreath into the water.

It wasn't a big event, no. Tony never wanted a big funeral. Just some people he'd always cared about. Just like now.

The Barton's, the other Avengers, the Pym's and Scott, Quill's group, some agents, Fury, and even a little boy that had helped Tony when his suit failed and froze on his way home once.

Pepper watched as the wreath floated away. She knew it'd eventually sink, but she didn't focus on that. As it reached the middle of the lake, she picked Morgan up and headed back for the cabin.

Everyone else had followed her. They stayed for a while, consoling her and themselves while Happy watched Morgan, who couldn't even register that she'd never see her father again.

Pepper watched as Scott and the Pym family left, being the first ones to go. One by one, everyone left the cabin. All but Steve and Thor, who'd volunteered to stay incase Pepper needed anything.

Pepper had gone to bed that night alone. For the first time in years, she was alone again. And it was cold.

Too cold.

She hated it. She felt the tears start running down her face the minute she'd touched the bed. She couldn't help it.

As she laid down, exhausted from all the crying, she stared at the ceiling.

"What am I supposed to do without you, Tony?" Was said, barely above a whisper. And she was asleep.
