As time passed by I was outside reading which is a new habit of mine, as I was reading more about healing spells due to Harry hurting himself made me nervous as I studied the spells in case of a more serious injury
I then heard somone approaching where I was, I turned to see Malfoy approaching to where i was
I got up to leave
"Wait, (y/n)"
I stopped in my tracks
"What is it Malfoy?" I asked
I could visibly see that he got hurt when I called him Malfoy, since I'm rarely one of the people to call him Draco
"Look I'm sorry if I did something to hurt you, I didn't mean to make you upset i-"
"Draco I'm not upset... I'm just trying to figure you out, you were going to call Hermoine a mudblood but stopped when you looked at me, why?"
"I guess you being their, is a reminder that someone could help me be better at b- communicating" he said changing his words
"So if I wasn't there, you wouldn't had hesitated to insult"
He hesitated before saying
"Yes but I'm trying to limit my insults which is more than I can do and you know that" he said
"Draco I understand the reason you do it, but you really hurt her feelings which is something I don't tolerate, so if you want forgiveness you need to apologize to Hermoine" I stated he hesitated before responding
"Fine I'll apologize to Granger" he huffed
"And try to not use brute insults or physical attack when your alone, you dont have to act nice, just civil so your father doesn't figure out your kindness with blood purity, so you dont get in trouble with that man"
"I'll try but like I said no promises" he responded
"I know and if thats all your comfortable with, it will suffice, got it?"
"Yes"
"Good, just remember that if you need anything, come to me" I said as I sat down on with my back on the tree as Draco sat next to me
"How's your injury?" I asked
"Bloody hurted, but better now" he responded before asking me
"Do you hate me?" I stiffened as his question but responded honestly
"Draco I never hate anyone, surprisingly I have high tolerance against people even Lockhart, but you I never hated you, sure you can get annoying but when I got to know, I understood you and your actions, which made you likeable so to conclude it I never hated your I misunderstood you" I said with a smile
"Oh" he said as he thought for awhile
"You got another question?" I asked he nodded
"I'm trying to figure out, why do you tolerate me I'm a pompous git and most of the school either fears me or dislikes me, but you still talk to me, why?"
"Because unlike others I took time to understand you better to see your not always the pompous git you are, your just a misunderstood cute boy" I teased as he blushed
"S-Shut up" he said as he hid his head as I laughed at his antics
"Well I better get back, need to turn this book back in, but remember to apologize to Hermoine, you'll be sorry if you don't" I advised
"Oh I'm so scared" he said sarcastically
"You better be, now this where I depart.....Bye" I said as I walked back while I saw him smiling, eh probably smirking
