lauren's week had turned into comforting lonesome. it had been another week without sunghoon and she was already trying to adjust to a life without him.

she had found a new way home. she had tried to find a new place to go to after school but failed, so she started getting into the habit of just walking around so her parents wouldnt grow suspicion about her relationship with sunghoon — or nonexistent relationship.

she just had to find somewhere to go on the weekends, which was her exact mission this saturday afternoon.

as she was walking down the sidewalk of her street with her hands in the pockets of her black cardigan, she noticed the details of the designs of the houses next to hers.

the colors of each house was different. there were families in each house living their own lives just like her, and she never really had time to think about it until now.

well, thought about it.

because just like always, her thoughts were interrupted by something. a familiar something that she always somehow found her way back to.

she continued to walk past the figure she bumped into, already knowing who it was just his shoes.

"lauren," he continued to walk by her side, "can we talk now?"

she sped up, "i don't want to talk."

he sped up with her, "we need to talk, it doesn't matter if you dont want to we need to."

he tried to link his arm with her but she jerked it away, "i dont need anything from you."

he grabbed her arm and pulled her into an alleyway that separated two houses.

he placed her in front of him and grabbed onto both her wrist for his reassurance that she wasnt going to walk away or let her walk away anymore.

"we're gonna talk."

she knew she couldn't escape him anymore. all she could do was stare at him in anger hoping that any moment he would let go and she could walk away.

"im sorry. im sorry i didn't tell you that i was an idol,"

"that you are" lauren interrupted.

he tried to hide his smirk from her remark, "right. that i am."

she continued to hold eye contact making sunghoon lose his train of thought.

"thats it? thats all you have to say?"

sunghoon blinked rapidly, "no sorry,"

he pulled her closer, "i want us to work laur i really do. you made me happy. you made me feel like any other person walking down the street. you made me want to always be with you. i just dont want to lose you over something this small because you had such a big impact on my life. i want you to be my girlfriend."

lauren looked away in disbelief, "you're done?"

sunghoon stood with confusion in his eyes, "yes?"
