3 Year Gap

Frieza woke up a little later than usual. Nobody dared to wake him up or either forgot about him. He went downstairs and looked into the kitchen and saw that had some breakfast ready. There was a card. An anniversary card. It was handmade with roses and colorful stickers. He opened it and started making the coffee from the coffeemaker. He leaned onto the kitchen counter and put in a cup without looking.

The card said: “Happy anniversary of you coming to earth! It's been 3 years already. Remember the blonde guy that killed you? Bulma said that is gonna be there to kill the androids. Can't wait to see you kick his butt.” There was “ass” crossed out. “I will be with Bulma and the rest of the weaklings. Hope you come join us and have fun.

Pickchu.”

Frieza clenched his teeth and slammed the card on the counter. He had forgotten about the kid. He fought so hard and trained with Vegeta for so long and he just got into the rhythm of the things without a care. Now Pickchu went in to check on things with people that did not care for him unless he protected them. He could feel his blood boiling for once. He downed the hot coffee in one gulp, slamming the cup into the sink. He knew Pickchu was going to be alright but what if he wasn't? The painful memory of the bunny being unconscious on Namek came back to his mind. He didn't want to help per say. A cruel smile grew on his face.

“I will just come last second to see them all die, take the bunny specimen and  that ship of Bulma and get out of here.” The words echoed in the kitchen. They sounded just as hollow. Would he be able to leave? The bunny loved the place, after all. “No matter.” He shook his head and kept talking to himself. “He would like any other planet. I visited hundreds--" He stopped. Every planet he visited he either destroyed or enslaved. Was that what Pickchu meant by telling him that destroying was easy, making was hard? It seemed easy for the bunny to create but in truth creating was always tough. He cupped his own bald head and groaned. “Fine, you win! I will help this time.” He yelled at nobody in particular. Frieza stomped his way out of the house and grumbled mentally all the way to the city that the killer androids, that kid from the future that killed him, said that would appear. He didn't KNOW the way there, he just followed their big energy presence. It was useful to have been taught to follow that instead of using his little scouter.

He soon found all of the weakling and his own killer in front of some rock with a metal door in it. He spoke as his arms were crossed.

“What are we all looking at?” Trunks, the sometimes blonde, sometimes purple hair young man talked without turning.

“We are here to stop Dr. Gero. Didn't you-…” He turned only to see the alien he once killed standing there. Frieza pushed part the future-man and went straight for the door, ripping it from it's hinges. They all saw an old man's head on the floor and two young people opening some kind of metal coffin, frying a very tall 3 young man. Frieza looked at Trunks and asked in a bored tone.

“Are those the killer androids?” Trunks seemed to be shocked by the sight of 3 androids and the sight of Frieza. Krillin stepped closer and offered some words.

“Yeah, we didn't believe it either when we saw him.” Trunks stepped back, getting out of his stupor. He turned to yell at the short bald guy.

“why is HE here?!” The androids were escaping through a back door while the main team were arguing.

“Don't ignore me, BRAT. I might not be commanding anyone here but I still can squish you like the bug you are.” Trunks tsked and turned to look at Frieza in the eye. “Oh, you are approaching me? Shall we settle this score of ours? I think you owe me a fight.”

“They are gone!” said the tall green namekian man. Frieza looked annoyed. He had pointy ears, weird yellow patterns on his body that looked like muscles, long nails, purple clothes and two small antenna on his bald head.

“Who are you talking about?” Said Frieza in a fake sweet tone.

The namekian pointed at the laboratory. It was empty.

In the city Pickchu was investigating why there were only clothes everywhere. He thought of many silly possibilities but none got close to the truth. He suddenly felt a shadow being cast over him. He turned and saw a weird bug human hybrid. He assumed it was like other of the animal hybrids around and grabbed his claw.

“Hello there. Man, it sure feels lonely here with all the… not people around.” The bug man smiled with the weird basketball-like beak of his. “Yeah.” Pickchu continued. “Don't leave my side or you might disappear too.” He turned to look over his shoulder and gave a cute smile. “I am the second specimen of the Pick project. I am Pickchu. What's your name?” The bug tail swung and attempted to pierce through his leg. “Ouch! No!” Pickchu blushed hard. “I am not in the mood of having babies with you.” The confusion on the bug man was visible but Pickchu continued. “No offense, you are cool and all but we just met…” Pickchu looked up at the green guy. “… and I am still waiting on my Frieza to ask me out on a date or at least a kiss. It's been like 3 years. I don't see--" The bug man interrupted.

“Frieza? THE Frieza? Like emperor Frieza?” His voice was all raspy and seemed to hide a lot of malice and confusion. Pickchu nodded.

“He insists I am his pet but sure I don't believe it. He hav--" Pickchu got interrupted again.

“He is here and haven't destroyed earth yet?” Pickchu huffs.

“Well, no. If you would let me spe--"

“And he has you as a pet? Really?” Pickchu stomped the ground once with his right foot.

“You are so rude! Let me save you. There must be some mysterious mist that teleports people away and-" That time Pickchu stopped because the stinger on the end of the bug's tail had a stinger. He used it to lift Pickchu's chin and spoke.

“I have no idea why this is happening but maybe is for the best that we stay… together.” Pickchu could not hear the malice coming from the bug's voice. The bunny grinned and nodded. He grabbed the stinger and started walking towards the mountains.

“We better stay away from any mysterious mist, new buddy!” Pickchu sounded cheery despite his monotone. Cell stopped, making Pickchu stop too.

“I am so hungry. I would like to have a snack first.” Said the bug man. Pickchu grinned.

“Sure. Tell me. I will prepare it for you.”

Cell leaned in closer and pet the bunny's head. “How about some androids?” Pickchu's eyes grew wide and he smiled. He has to be a good guy. Pickchu nodded.

“Yeah! I can help you eat them. But first…” He held the bug's hand in between his. “Tell me your name, please?”

“Cell.” Said the green bug man with a cruel smile.
